What’s funny is the Canadian teams typically get hosed against American teams by the refs, but in this series they’re getting calls since it’s another Canadian team - one that the league doesn’t care about.

The league wants them in the next round for the ratings and will screw them over against the Florida team. They’re finally getting the calls we always asked for and they’re still not able to finish off the Sens.

McMann is probably the most disappointing forward for me... His game with speed and physicality seemed ripe for a strong playoff performer, but he's been such a non-factor.

A shame because he was a valuable depth offense player in the season.

The 2nd line took over the 3rd period of game 4 when he got moved up.

We've seen them dominate at times during the season. I'd actually start the game with them this time. Holmberg kills too many plays

Let's compare to Drai. Per 82, 47 goals and 120 points.
McDavid. 42 goals and 130 points.

Obviously McDavid is on a whole other level, but for a long time we've had to hear that Matthews "might be the 2nd best player in the world". No he f***ing isn't. He is like three dominant playoffs behind MacKinnon, Kucherov and Draisaitl now. There's no universe in which he can rank ahead of them on any current or all-time list until that gap is drastically reduced.

I called BS on it the moment I heard it.

The only solace as far as I am concernd is Treliving growing some balls to ask Marner to waive his NTC/NMC to try to get Rantanen. To me that is absolutely clear that he doesn;'t have faith in marner having seen him against bruins so he was willing to trade marner.

I just hope that story is true and treliving doesn't bend over backwards. marner should be done as a Leaf after this season as far as I am concerned. Use that cap to find 2 power forwards who can put up 50 points each and can play a sandpaper high forchecking game.

In the playoffs fancy bullshit goes to hell and only hardwork/hardnosed hockey works

They had some good looks... two posts, Marner in tight, Matthews over the net, Lorentz making one too many moves, their issue was converting on chances.

They didn't look good, but they definitely had chances.

Boys really brought it tonight but the refs sadly had other plans.

The refs were helping the Leafs tonight. Everybody tries but nothing works.

Eh Stolie was fine for last game but I would have roll Woll tonight after the first loss. Get him in net at home to get a bit of comfort. If they lose you can get Stolie back in for a revenge game in Ottawa in game 6. And if you lose again rotate back to Woll.

Now you're playing Stolie in consecutive games without Woll seeing any action. Makes it harder to make the switch for game 7 should Stolie be the one who is the reason for the loss.
