this series is going 7 I will pull an EvilCleetus, this is going back to scotiabank on Saturday nightIf they lose Game 6 they are d-o-n-e. No way are they winning a Game 7.

Pelley was making tall claims beginning of the season "We are not here to sell jerseys"
I called BS on it the moment I heard it.
The only solace as far as I am concernd is Treliving growing some balls to ask Marner to waive his NTC/NMC to try to get Rantanen. To me that is absolutely clear that he doesn;'t have faith in marner having seen him against bruins so he was willing to trade marner.
I just hope that story is true and treliving doesn't bend over backwards. marner should be done as a Leaf after this season as far as I am concerned. Use that cap to find 2 power forwards who can put up 50 points each and can play a sandpaper high forchecking game.
In the playoffs fancy bullshit goes to hell and only hardwork/hardnosed hockey works
Hasn't it been this way for eight years though? They had some good looks... two posts, Marner in tight, Matthews over the net, Lorentz making one too many moves, their issue was converting on chances.
They didn't look good, but they definitely had chances.
It would be nice to afford better depth. Wonder what's taking up so much cap?
OH WAIT
Pressure, history, stick gripping.I just don't understand how this team, with their history, could be so flat in a game this big.

This is OT but I f***ing SUCK at golf. My iron shots are rocket-propelled ground balls that go for singles all day. Maybe the Jays could use me?Golf courses opened up this week so guessing they want to get an early start.
This is true. There's overreaction going on here, myself included.
But can you blame us, really? After what has happened for the last eighteen million years?
Wish I could feel that way. If I did I'd probably just not be a fan anymore I guess.I think I am numb from this team, nothing disappoints me anymore
Just sucks. Had a 2 on 1 early in the game and shoots it wide. Miss the days where that was guaranteed in the back of the net....or pass
...or pickup a pass
Yeah, this version isn't a lot of fun to watch.
That’s insane, yet believable. So 1-13 on series clinching games. 0-30 pp streak on series clinching games.
Is there any precedent for this? And I ask that honestly. Is there any other team franchise of star players where something like this happens? Or is this top to bottom 100% completely unique to this Toronto Maple leaf core of star players? In other words, has ANYTHING like this happened spanning world history?
That's just it. He has had opportunites over the past couple games where he either didn't get it in the net or couldn't collect the puck to get the chance. It's quite crazy to watch, as you say those were all automatic... imagine the difference it would make.Just sucks. Had a 2 on 1 early in the game and shoots it wide. Yeah, send a message to one of the few guys on this roster who has ever competed hard enough to win a cupI would go to Woll. Send the team a message.

They're fighting demons right now but maybe they come out of this series exorcised and we go deep. The Leafs can easily win next game. If anything they probably will too.
But with the history the way it is, the pessimism and frustration until then remains more than justified
I agree entirely. The Leafs can easily win next game. If anything they probably will too.

It’s a lot easier for me as a non leaf’s fan to believe they will finally accomplish something. Go Leafs!TBH it's on you if you picks the Leafs/Leaf players in a playoff pool
I avoid them like the plague
Still More experienced than the fraud 4, that's the sad partDo you think Stolarz competed hard enough to win a cup last year?
He played like half a game and was bad.
Stolarz hasn't been great this series, switching goalies is fine.
I called out every single 11AAV+ player.... just saying...Somehow William Nylander escapses criticisms
