Is being slow, giving pucks away constantly and hitting the goalie in the chest, redeeming qualities?
If you would like to have an educated discussion about this I'm happy to do so, but I have zero interest in engaging in a debate that is built on the premise that JT's only redeeming qualities is that he skates slow, hits the goalie in the chest and turns pucks over.

Keefe was pretty blunt in post game. His quotes sound like they could be posts in this board. Basically the lead was lucky and best players all sucked. Too bad he cant coach to fix it.

On the positive side, the third and fourth lines looked good again. The second line was absolute horseshit. Bertuzzi was brought on to play in these playofff like games, but he was awful. Better not be a sign to come in the playoff.

Just saw Keefes presser, no rant against the refs. Time to move on from this guy.

Of course, it is to some extent because if you really look at any battle along the boards or in front of the net, you could probably have multiple penalties every minute or so.

If they called everything, the game would descend into farce.
...or the players would adjust and we would have even more open and speed. I don't have faith in that, but it's what I would want to see happen.

Great, it still isn't worthy of some sort of conspiratorial vent on the league.

The Avs carried the play from at least the Drouin goal onward, so you're more likely to be penalized when playing that way, particularly against a team like that. But are you certain that the Leafs didn't get away with any infractions throughout the game? No one seems to keep track of those.
Both teams got away with calls. Just that the Refs allowed egregious ones for the Avs. And you can't deny the disparency between the amount of power plays. Check out every game today, they all have roughly the same amount of powerplays.

I've never felt the same since we lost that series against the Caps early on when we first debut Matthews-Marner era. Imo that was the Leafs best window to do what they did. They had everyone on elc, they had Naz as well. They played as a team. Now it's a bunch of primadonnas who always make the extra pass.

We pay our stars the best but we get subpar results when it matters most. Make it make sense.

I got no problem with Nylanders contract as long as they use the $22 million from Marner and Tavares on defense.

Problem is they will prob sign Marner for 12+ and bring Tavares back.

Guys like Sid, Malkin, Kane, Kucherov got paid after they won championships. These guys haven't won a damn thing and they all received royal treatments.
