Greb had the lowest amount of ice time and was pretty invisible on top of this. There's a lot to like about him and his game but he needs to go back to the Marlies as soon as possible.
Keep gobbling those blue pills.Conspiracy laden post-game talk is pretty high for coming off a win.
I see where you’re coming from, OEL is approaching his mid season form, as FL fans warned us about. However, my focus was on his snarly plays and being aggressive after whistle, so nothing to do with his giveaways or weak board battles.Even with that penalty or irrespective of it. He didn't have a great game
He made some poor decisions, espcially in that first goal
Best player on the team through 22. Hes always in the dirty areas or the ice.Top 5v5 goal differential ranking for all 253 forwards in the league with 250+ minutes this season:
1. John Tavares: 74.75%
Pretty crazy for a "washed" player.
Be nice if the panel did the same thing but they are all cowardsLeafs now 6th. in the league.
3rd. in their conference.
Getting back to where they were a few years ago.
They were 4th. 2022-2023.
Glad the announcers called out the refs last night.
That should happen more frequently.
Silence is not acceptable.
Yes, NFL can be frustrating with the holding and pass interference calls being so inconsistent throughout a game. I'd still say Basketball is worst, NHL 2nd worst, Football 3rd worst.
Tell that to any team playing the KC ChiefsYep, that’s why it doesn’t even bother me anymore. NHL officiating is by far the worst of the major sports.
Nah, NFL is still the worst by a college mile. Kansas City's record this year is almost entirely the product of the refs.Basketball might be a little worse but yes.

To be fair, he is being paid 11mil and is only PPG. Every year outside of his first year here, he hasn't looked good if you watch him on the ice, constant lost battles, missed passes, couldn't keep up with the pace of play etc.Half of this board has no clue what they are talking about...

There is one outlier here and everyone decided it was the norm because of the name
100% now it’s the Chiefs turn.I'm a Pats fan and can say without hesitation that they got a number of calls during their dynasty Bellichek/Brady years that were 100% at best, suspect calls (multiple calls) that allowed them to go deep in the playoffs and/or won the SB. NFL football is almost as scripted as WWE.
I question how many games you actually watch, Tavares is excellent at board battles and extends plays all the time in the attacking zone by winning more than his fair share of battles. To be fair, he is being paid 11mil and is only PPG. This is the 1st year since Year 1 of his contract that I am actually walking away impressed with his play.
no way man, NBA takes that 3x over.Yep, that’s why it doesn’t even bother me anymore. NHL officiating is by far the worst of the major sports.
Counter point....no.Not a fan of the thread title. Stop whining about the refs or at least take off the blue coated glasses you watch with.
primary assists are no longer a meaningful stat I am guessing?Meanwhile Marner picked up two more assists from 50 feet away from the net.
100%. Would love to hear the official's rationale for calling OEL but not Cirelli. Like, how can you justify that other than pure game management BS?The retaliation shot was a lot more egregious and deserving of a penalty. Our Leafs seem to always get called for the retaliation, but NOT the Lightning player tonight.
Once again, the American based team was favored by the refs to get them back in the game.
Woll deserved the shutout and should have at least had only one goal against.
f*** the Panthers and Lighting, and especially the NHL Refs. Win or lose, I'm growing more and more tired of this anti-Leaf bias as every game goes by.
Congrats on the win Leafs !!! Fighting 2 teams almost every game is very hard.

It’s only a good point if you all are standing in the blue paint, 2 assists and a goal from 3 feet out.primary assists are no longer a meaningful stat I am guessing?
Do you think the Tavares goal was a pass? You think his intention was to throw a weak wrister that hit Tavares square in the stomach. That goal is all Tavares, creating something out of nothing. Same with Knies tip. If Knies isnt there, in the dirty area, easy save by todays goalies (though not unrelated to Marner).primary assists are no longer a meaningful stat I am guessing?
Berube obviously wants him there and the coach runs the teamDo you think the Tavares goal was a pass? You think his intention was to throw a weak wrister that hit Tavares square in the stomach. That goal is all Tavares, creating something out of nothing. Same with Knies tip.
Watching the Oilers highlights and in just one play Mcdavid sets up a slot shot that doesnt go in, he gets the rebound, holds off a defender with one arm while skating around the net and passes the puck to his teammate standing in the blue paint for a tap in goal. The entire play, Mcdavid operates in territory Marner never goes.
Even the Broadcast team made note of how often Marner is standing on the blueline in the offensive zone.
Im just perplexed, Marner is on the blueline more than our defenders.
Naa variety is good.. or setting up goals in the slot wouod be nice? Its no different than playoff Marner. It only gets even harder to produce from the perimeter come playoffs. It’s only a good point if you all are standing in the blue paint, 2 assists and a goal from 3 feet out.
Why don’t other teammates do it? Seems easy enough yet only Marner does it as consistentlyNaa variety is good.. or setting up goals in the slot wouod be nice? Its no different than playoff Marner. It only gets even harder to produce from the perimeter come playoffs.
Am I surprised that Knies and Tavares scored yesterday? No..they were standing in the slot, the most dangerous area of the ice!
Sorry Im not impressed with Marners 50 foot points. What can I say.
A wrist shot, hits Tavares in the stomach and Tavares creates a goal? Lets all cheer Marner?
For the record. Nylanders perimeter play doesnt impress me either. But Nylanders is slightly better than Marners.
They both have go-to areas of the ice that are pretty predictable.
Do what? does what? Why don’t other teammates do it? Seems easy enough yet only Marner does it as consistently
