Locks:
Matthews (USA)
Marner (Canada)
Nylander (Sweden)
Kase (Czech)
Mrazek (Czech)
Your Team America #1 center, Auston Matthews, he's already been confirmed.
Canada is lucky, they have centers out the ass but very few natural wingers. Who's a better Canadian natural winger than Marner? Marchand and Huberdeau definitely but who else? Stone is injury prone, he's injured right now, Mitch is in.
I'm foggy on things eligibility wise but talent wise Willy absolutely belongs on Sweden, I'd say Lindholm and Zibanejad are better, maybe Landeskog and Pettersson, but he should be a top six forward there.
The Czech is a small hockey country, so Kase and Mrazek are shoo-ins.
Outside shots:
Rielly (Canada)
Tavares (Canada)
Campbell (USA)
Mikheyev (Russia)
Do you like Mo more than Theodore, Nurse or Morrissey? I would pencil him in on the third pair but things happen, I think he has the best shot of all of the outside shots.
I don't think JT supplants any of Canada's dozens of elite centers (it'll be McDavid, Crosby, Bergeron and someone else at C) and doesn't have the speed to play the wing.
We love Jackie Boy but I'm thinking he's up for the third string job behind Hellebuyck and Gibby, competing with Demko, Knight and Nedeljkovic. He's shown enough to be taken relative to the competition but you never know.
I don't know of developments in the KHL but Russia has never been a deep forward group - lots of stars like Ovy, Malkin, Kaprizov, Svech and Breadman, but not a lot of depth, and remember Kuznetsov is banned for a few more years. Mikheyev would fit nicely with his speed on a 4th line.
