Well again you don't know this but Zach crushes Mitch down ice in goal line to goal line skates every camp .. and Zach's skills have improved because his dad has spent 100,000 every summer on ice and instructors to help Zack get better .. Zach has a work ethic like no one I have ever seen in hockey .. with current development curve he in on I expect Zach to be a 40 goal scorer this year or next
Good god. Hyman is 29 years old. He is closer to retirement than 40 goals:laugh:

Hyman is slipping.

PLD is interesting. He is a solid player and looked amazing against the Leafs in the 2020 playoffs but was absolutely useless last year. Now he looks great again, who knows who shows up at the Olympics though, too risky for me.

Hyman is not at the level he was in the beginning of the season but if he can sustain that level, he will be in the conversation with Drai. At this point, I won't rule out Hyman bc he does everything. He defends well, back checks, PK, win faceoffs and he knows how to play with top players. He is Kunitz 2.0 with much better skills.

PLD is interesting, big solid skating C who can chip in with goals. He reminds me of Keith Primeau, just not as good.

There are no errors in what I posted, which is the exact reason you can't respond. Because your lineup isn't based on any logical or consistent theory, let alone one that you can support; it's based exclusively on excluding Marner. "Lone boner" is not a real term, but based on your previous explanation of what you believe it means, it does not apply to Marner in the slightest, and you have provided zero reasons why you have applied this arbitrary label to him. He elevates any line he plays on, and prioritizes the team over himself in pretty much everything he does.

You don't know Marner. You didn't coach Marner. And people that actually did coach Marner at 6 years old still wouldn't have any clue about the player he is now, 18 years later. It's time to stop playing make-believe. He would not be the slowest guy on the team at all, even in specifically straight-line speed that you arbitrarily think is all that matters, and you're breaking your own rules by your own admission because that seemingly didn't stop you from including Stone anyway.

Marner is a lock, as he should be.
You are a dreamer .. but keep dreamin .. you are a true Beleafer .. unfortunately many a day I had to drive to their place in Clarington to pick them up as Paul had Bonnie car issues back then like quite a bit .. and Mitch and my son are good friends even today .. playing video games half da night still .. these kids are nuts but that's another issue .. Stone has some tool issues for sure but he brings so much to table .. and like it or not Mitch is quite a loner like his dad

My post was straight facts. The only one dreaming here is you; about fake stories you've created about Marner. Not that those stories even have anything to do with our discussion, but let's be clear: you don't know Marner, your son doesn't know Marner, and you didn't coach Marner. Quite frankly, based on your wildly incorrect comments about Marner, it's hard to believe you've ever even seen him play.

It's pretty telling that you're willing to make excuses to include Stone (and the majority of the rest of your list which you're well aware doesn't fit your "5-tool model"), but are unwilling to acknowledge the countless things Marner brings to the table, and the amazing, Olympic-worthy player he is.

Marner is unquestionably a lock, as he should be.

Crazy how these sloth-like snail skaters are able to put up so many points eh?

It must be the weak divisions, lol.

Zach was backbone of team .. and only reason we did not get swept in 4 games by Bruins .. and he always was FAST and TOUGH .. and his TEAM ability is 2nd to none .. even more he is one of very few guys who actually continues to develop his skills .. i mean his dad has hired da best skilled hands instructors in hockey even when he was a pro player to work on them every single summer .. how many guys do that .. it is only because they don't talk about it that you guys don't hear about it ..
Why would his dad be hiring instructors when he, as an adult and pro hockey player, could do it himself?

FYI just a tip for you .. You can never understand what you don't know .. but I think I knew the TO hockey scene from my days playing in MTHL with Marlies, to my dad playing for Marlies in THL and my kids playing for Marlies in GTHL .. I pretty sure we are da only 3 generational family who all played with same team and then all played pro hockey at some level

I'm not the one pretending to know things that I don't know. I'm talking about the hockey facts. I'm talking about the amazing player Marner is. I'm talking about how Marner is unquestionably a lock for the Olympic team. You're the one talking about fake stories that have nothing to do with our discussion, so that you can pretend you have some special insight, even though you've been wildly incorrect about pretty much everything you've said about Marner.

Do you have kids?
No, but if I had kids, I would help them out until they're about 20 years old because by then they should be able to handle hiring instructors all by themselves. The same goes for Hyman. He's what, 30 now? I think he can easily hire his own people now at his age.

Doing it for them when they were young is understandable. Doing it when they're an adult doesn't make sense.
Yeah, but it doesn't matter if it doesn't make any sense, because you don't know them and dat means you just don't get it but of course I know them because I know everybody important and everybody important knows me because I'm important and it means dat I know things, which you should know because I'm saying I know on da online message board and that confirms dat I know. If you knew, then you'd know, but you don't know, so you don't know. However, if you knew what I know then you'd know, you know?

:sarcasm:

Of course he can handle that himself, I don't imagine anyone thinks he can't.
As a parent the want to help out your child never leaves, obviously that doesn't apply across the board to every family.
My 82 year old mother still does it at times for us and I do it for my kids.

I just want to know if Keefe knows that Marner can't skate

I never said it does.
