Zucc didnt get kreider going. kreider started playing great the first game after his callup. he wasnt paired with Zucc until until a few games after

And, I'm pretty sure that Kreider's last 7 goals have come since Nash was added to the Kreider-Stepan line.

Yeah i mean id rather kreids play with Zucc since Nash and stepan have done abosoluetly nothing. hell i would even put miller with him since they ahve good chemistry even though both are rookies

Nash's 4th hit of the season, goes for goaltender interference, what a marshmallow, skating around trying to not get hurt is the way to get hurt

He is scared to death of getting hit i guess because the concussion. Its really affecting his overall game. And then you got stepan who is a slower skater than Pyatt and his passing that used to be pretty good stink this year. Man if those gusy can ever get back to normal then our first line would score a couple goals every game

Before the shootout, I was calling Steps Scott Norwood, can't hit the net, wide right...DZ has a 25 foot slapshot in ot and buries in the Leaf crest on Bernier, then proceeded to give the puck away 3 times after that in ot, enough of this guy already

I was at my fourth game of the month and obviously it was their best. Gotta love Zucc. The guy plays the game the way it is supposed to be played. Smart and with no fear.
The play by McD was amazing. I was hoping he'd catch Kessel just to bother him but to make that play. Wow.
Loved the Rangers response after the goal. From making the refs wait for them to coming out and playing nasty. Good to see this team actually plays with a pair.
They are still missing some pieces but it's good to get a W before the holidays.

Rick Nash is the latest of a long line of elite players that wind up to end their very well paid and secured NHL careers on a miserable note in NYC. Do not go the road of excusing "distractions". Because I see very few real acceptable excuses. The typical signs are all there plain to envision - the complacent, shuddering wheels, lackadaisical, care free Country Club BS attitude. Pathetic to see. The guy is getting top dollar in the league. But could care less on the ice. Same thing for Richards but his wheels are all but gone. If they both were not a good old boys they would be crucified by now. Now they get all kinds of excuses from all kinds of angles from the apologists. Nonetheless I think Nash should be dealt if possible this year/offseason. Detroit would be a good fit. Or San Jose.

Happen to agree. Nash needs to lead this team offensively. He needs to be a difference maker. It's ridiculous when you look at what MZA is doing and compare it to the half hearted effort we're getting out of Nash. If we somehow manage to make it to the playoffs you almost know that Nash is not going to show up. When you make the big $ the expectations become bigger. Either live up to it or you don't. 3 hits this year says a lot. If he still has head issues then he shouldn't be playing. If it's fear that's something else.

Kreider set up the Rangers one goal and then got benched in OT after he took the delay of game penalty. AV blaming him for Kadri's goal? Don't get it really.

made no sense. In OT you should play your best offensive players. Nash and stepan got a big chunk of OT time and havent done much in a while. He is also taking the brunt of his linemates bad play.

Come on, eco. You know how this works. Pretty soon we will start to hear about what player can be brought in to get Nash going. Another first line superstar that cannot get things going on his own and will "need" someone.

History teaches one a lot of things.

Yeah, I could not understand watching Nash give the puck away in OT, while Krieder was glued to the bench.

No kidding. It's been a little more than 30 games. Watching this board collectively turn on Hank after clinging to him for 7 years is absolutely disgraceful.

Disgraceful is a nice way of putting it.

If we were a year or so in to this debacle and Henrik was still floundering and playing like a washed up has-been, I could understand the concerns, and a want for getting out of his contract.

At this point, with how bad this entire team has been, and Henrik having what amounts to the worst stretch in his career after 7 years of nothing but the best, it is absolutely criminal reading the reactionary ******** on this board.

People have no problem defending inconsistent nothingmasters like Derick Brassard who have done nothing, and brought nothing to this franchise, but willingly take a verbal dump on the one beacon of hope and success this team has had since the second lockout.

I'll admit Henrik has probably been the best and worst thing to happen to this franchise in a long time. If he doesn't show up, maybe they flop a few years and end up with some of the past half-a-decades really nice draft picks, but on the other hand maybe Glen Sather continues his streak of making egregious errors and we'd still be in the Dark Ages of Rangers hockey.

No matter how you slice it, Henrik has brought great moments to this franchise including a Vezina caliber season that lead to an ECF, that if he had only had goal support in from the rest of his finish inept teammates, would have led to a SCF at the very least.

These boards are the worst. Absolutely the most irrational and ungrateful group I've ever met. Especially with what Glen Sather has brought this franchise over the past 13 years.

Edit: For the record I believe Lundqvist absolutely deserves criticism when he plays poorly, it's the stuff beyond that, that is uncalled for.

I can. AV is all about giving his star players opportunities to succeed.

If Nash doesn't snap out of it soon, he'll slip into the **** house and perhaps even scratched. It's all about accountability. Looking forward to seeing Nash scratched.

Guy needs a wake up call. When he was younger he was faster, more physical, went to the net. He's become a dangler afraid of any contact. He has no incentive to not play this way when he's on the first line regardless of his play.

Possibly the most serious post I've seen from you.

Great post. Sums it up%. People need to wake the hell up

I could argue that right now, Krieder is one of the Rangers top players and is FAR more effective than Nash.
If Nash doesn't snap out of it soon, he'll slip into the **** house and perhaps even scratched. It's all about accountability. Looking forward to seeing Nash scratched.
Do you REALLY see AV doing that? What about his coaching has indicated that he is capable of such an action? Scratching Boyle or Pouliot?

It's about helping the team win. If scratching Nash will wake him up in AV's opinion, I'd guess he does it soon and doesn't think twice about it. Henrik has shown no hard feelings about being benched. Nash won't either.

AV doesnt have the balls to scratch Nash

Pouliot has been playing with more fire than Nash of late. So that's not saying a hell of a lot.

Whether Nash's feelings are hurt is irrelevant. Time to put on the big boy pants. What is relevant, is helpful or not, what is it in AV's coaching history that tells you that he will bench a team's purported best highest paid player?

The problem with Lundqvist is not that he's playing worse than we've grown accustomed to, it's that he's doing so with an enormous albatross contract that was awarded based only on his past performance in the middle of his worst stretch of play in recent memory.

All the pablum after the contract signing that his mind would be free to focus on the game has been exposed.

Lundqvist has therefore turned, in the space of two months, from incredible asset to unwieldy anchor. Incidentally, now he's the third such anchor on the team.

We all know that no matter his play this year or next, this contract will be an immovable object at some point in the coming seasons as his play follows all biology and degrades inexorably.

There's also the issue of whether or not he will ever adapt to the new defensive system. It's a fair question and completely unanswerable.

It would have been better for Sather to ascertain the answer to this question before tying him up and tying the Rangers down.
