Why you all making it out to be doom and gloom.

You do understand that even without Matthews and Hutch in net we are the better team tonight. Heck without Matthews and Hutch in net we are better than 2/3 of the league.

You guys really need to give them more credit. Tavares, Marner, Nylander are not chopped liver!!! And our secondary players are way better than the Oilers.
It's not that those guys are chopped liver, it's more about how we've had more than one letdown game on a Monday night immediately following a great Saturday night game. Add to that our #3 goalie gets the start and shutting down McDavid and Drysitle is gonna be tough if not impossible, especially when you add that to the fact that last game we had no penalties ... not doom and gloom so much as being realistic here and tempering expectations

Well there you go Engvall relatives and lovers and friends lolololol
There you go !
Let’s see how Mr 47 does tonight with lots of pressure on him !
Go 47 Go !! Ha ha
I mean it , good luck Pierre
You and i should hate that but we don’t ha. Keefer is approaching his lacking play in a motivational way. Thats good, raise his trade value lol

Get to see Hutch's mask tonight.

That mask is guaranteed win night.
Yes I am excited to see Hutch's wear his Potvin tribute mask.

Oh, what could have been: Michael Hutchinson showed us the Felix Potvin tribute mask by @dielairbrush that arrived two days before he was traded to the Colorado Avalanche. Even bigger loss? Hutch said there was also a set of Digi Print Potvin tribute pads in the planning stages: “I was a big Felix Potvin fan growing up so I got the replica mask and then my favourite set of pads that I never had was the Kohos with the white claw graphic on the bottom in blue so I had @bauergoalie design something similar to those so it’s unfortunate those won’t ever see the light of day.”

Hutch will be humming the Hall & Oates 'you make my dreams come true' tune in his head all night

The boys are 2:1 dogs tonight. Might be the first time all year where they have had dog status. I really don't care if Matthews is out and Hutch is in. That is great value for the team with the best record in the league. Hutch has played well for us, and I would say he has gotten better each start. I really think Mike Smith is not as good of a goaltender as he was playing in the previous 13 games prior to Saturday. The showing he gave on Saturday is more what I expect from him TBH. His style is fit for the 90's and is not consistent for the modern day. He was out of positon on 3/4 goals allowed and beat clean on a shot that was not that hard of a save (marner goal). I expect another turd from him tonight. On the other hand I expect Connor and Drai to show up. think it will be higher scoring. But regardless of injury we are still the better team. Leafs on the ML for sure. Dogs will bark tonight

All the pressure is on the Oilers, and man they know it.

I have some Oilers buddies that are keeping quiet about this game, they know they're going to get it from everyone if they lose this one lol.

Makes it more fun to watch in all honesty.
They must be just sick or something. I didn’t think there was a way to quiet a Oilers fan

This definitely softens the blow of Jack being out. Felix was one of my earliest memories of the Toronto Maple Leafs growing up. Him and Dougie were my idols. Love the Felix tribute by Hutch. Now if someone could just do a Cujo tribute after

Crazy Jordan Binnington already did a terrific one in St. Louis.

I think our defensemen need to play McDavid and Draisaitl extremely tough tonight. Loved what I saw with Engvall putting the body on Drai last game. You’ll notice our North Division rivals have been knocking Matthews around all season and the wear and tear is piling up. There’s no way either of those guys should be allowed to try their Harlem Globetrotter nonsense without having to pay the price with a good clean hard hit every time they look to create or embarrass our defensemen. No fireworks tonight.

Leafs can win this one, I just won’t be too shocked if we don’t. A lot going against us tonight against an Edmonton squad that should be motivated. Leafs will have to play the same type of suffocating defensive game as Saturday. Also Edmonton will probably get a few PPs tonight and that’s where they do a lot of damage.

I believe Koskinen is starting this game.

We could win but with Soupy and Matty out it is much less likely lets be honest ... although Hutch was fine in his last start

where are you looking? The score still has leafs as -120 favs

Even with Matthews out and Hutch in net, the Leafs still win this game. They are that good and deep.

When you have Tavares, Marner, Nylander, Hyman, Thornton, Reilly, Muzzin, Brodie, Micheyev, etc.... you are not exactly the Ottawa Senators!!!

Plenty of depth and talent to win without the injured. I see the Leafs once again making this a difficult game for Edmonton. Even with McDavid and Draisaitl, that is only 2 players against our many. Just goes to show no one player makes your team. Not even McDavid or Matthews for that matter.

Thats 2 victories against Edmonton and McDavid without Matthews. 2 FOR 2. Going to be 3 FOR 3.

One of us can eat crow after the game. If it's me, I'll do it happily in victory!

So based on his history of injuries and based on his injuries this year, I think anyone who says Campbell can be our #1 next year really need to take that into consideration. As much as I like the guy and I think he has the skill to do it, I just don't see his body/head/whatever ails him, being able to hold it together for 50+ games.

If Campbell was given the role as 1A we would need to HEAVILY insulate him with a 1B that could handle big minutes if Campbell goes down, which is basically after every game he plays
