The difference is Slaf has yet to do what Caufield/Suzuki has done in the NHL.

Neither of them were in the league at at 19 - let alone 18.

It's almost as if one of them regularly makes spectacular plays and the other one has a consistent history of being braindead and behind the play and are judged overall based on their regular performance, with individual success and failures viewed in that context.
