Best group of invites we've brought to dev camp I can remember. I'd love to sign Jelsma and Fimis. Duke and Nguyen are also really intriguing.

2017 was easily the best.

Durzi and Hollowell were drafted a year later because of it.

Marchment, Hirose, Hutton, Yeryomenko, Robson, Dewar, Andonovski, Rueschhoff, Coskey, and Rauhauser were all either drafted or earned contracts.

Last year was pretty good too: Frasca, Gauthier, Douglas, and Kressler all earned ELC's this year.

I find this class fairly underwhelming. I like Fimis and Jelsma. Larsen and Hayes are interesting AHL contract candidates in the near future. De St. Phalle from Wisconsin (and originally the Chicago Steel) is someone I would keep an eye on too. Not for an ELC right now, but he led the USHL in points in 2020, he led his team in points last year, he is seen as a reliable two-way guy... I had him as a late round target in 2020. Smaller guy but shows some nice effort and energy.



Outside of those 5 guys, and even those 5 guys are not exactly highly ranked for me outside of Jelsma, I think you are mostly looking at fillers. I guess you can always keep tabs on Duke, Elias, Siepmann, Ward, Nguyen, Alfano, etc. for next year but we are talking about massive leaps in development in a variety of areas for them to get to that point. Even Fimis teeters on that for me a little bit, but his processing ability makes him a much more interesting candidate.

With a year of critical development time lost for many of these kids, it’s probable that we are going to see more than average “late bloomers”, who didn’t shine in their draft year, but will next year.
