Has a college prospect ever said fk it and joined their NHL team. Are they allowed to?

I don't think it's ever happened like that but I think some NCAA prospects have moved to the CHL after development camps.

But yes, it's allowed if the team tenders the player an ELC.

Hope Knies absolutely kills it. I think a lot of the Leafs season next year is going to ride on him and Robertson developing.

EP has him at 5'11. The guy put up borderline 1st round production at 18.3 and for my money one of the 10 best passers in the entire draft. Legit star potential for me... I can't believe he wasn't drafted.

Edit: I'm sorry, but look at this dudes microstats and imagine if he had anyone at all to play with.

I'm going to be really disappointed if he doesn't walk away with an ELC. He's a WAY better prospect than Kressler.

This sounds like a Dubas guy.

Beau Jelsma led the Barrie Colts in goals, pretty impressive rookie season, outscored Hunter Haight who went in the second. If he looks good in camp give him a contract

Any insight on Rindel? Just going by his stat line, his production fell off of a cliff this year. I realize that he’s a dman, but he’s on the smaller size. Was it his utilization?

that's interesting - and 5'11" at 17 is actually a world of difference from 5'9".
I didn't reach 5'11" til I was 19 & bulked up to near 190lb.If he's hard to play against the Leafs should sign him & put him on a weight program.

Partly the utilization, but its because he's so bad defensively both teams he played for couldn't justify his role.

I took in about a dozen bulldogs game this year and like Hayes’s game. He’s smaller but not a perimeter player. Goes to the net hard, can be chippy and great shot. Glad to see him In camp. Game 7 hat trick against Windsor was clutch!

Missed out on a few bulldogs but he’s a gamer. Constantini had a good playoffs but not sure if he’s going to be a full time pro

Matthew Ward got an invite? Good shit. I was hoping we'd draft him but his production fell off in the 2nd half of the season. I think he'll impress some people with how he plays and his shot.

Feels like every year, someone says something like this about some obscure name at camp.

.....and then we never hear from that player ever again

Out of the invites I like Fimis, Jelsma, Nguyen and Duke the most and could see 2 of the 4 get an ELC. Fimis especially would be a great add to the pool.
