lol no mention of nylander literally going the wrong direction while 2 TB players go in on samsanov? gio has 2 guys to cover because nylander decided that he wasnt going to come back and make a defensive effort.

look im extremely happy, but nylander needs to take a page from papi and marner, who are both blocking shots and contributing in other ways when they are scoring. willy needs to buy in because the games are only going to get harder. in the playoffs we all know that everyone needs to step up and those mistakes can cost u a series. not the end of the world clearly since we won, but i want more lol.

edit: im just responding to the pst blaming everyone but nylander, i just wanted to point out his part in it.
Leafs have control of the puck on the left boards near the blueline, and the right winger starts to leave the zone. Puck is turned over at the blueline, there's a quick shot, a rebound, and a goal. Who and where was the other Leafs forward?

Nylander is probably the last person to blame, but as is often the case, the first to be blamed.

I just want to share that one split-second fun moment I experienced just before raging into uncontrolled screaming and fist pumping. It was when I saw puck sliding into far left side of the net like in slow-motion and looking at Vasilevskiy posture I realized he had no idea where that puck was.

It was crazy how time slowed to a crawl as the puck went over the line. Definitely a great memory to think back on. Hope there are a bunch more this post season.

There are sure a lot of posters on here that I don't think I've ever seen before!

Funny how there are so many comments on how refs make 'even up' calls, and how 'anti Leafs' the commentators are, but when one of them actually says the refs do it, there are a couple of complaints about him saying it.

I can't believe, after that win last night, that there are people in this thread still whining about penalty calls from previous years, especially since the calls they mention were actually correct.

They never really had control.
Gustafsson had the puck in the corner for a second and lost it.
Knies had the the puck at the half wall for a second and lost it.
The other Leaf forward was Matthews and he tried to chase down Cirelli at the blue line to stop the pass to Raddych.

Even if he had reacted immediately he was too far away to stop Stamkos.
Not really.

Can't wait for the concern trolling in the media Monday about how Samsonov stole some games, after to a man they listed having a good goalie who can steal games as a must have in the playoffs. You know it's coming.
It may be the first time in 40 years a goalie with a .900 save% gets accused of stealing a series.

Sammy was fine, he played well in Game 6, but goaltending in this series as a whole was pretty iffy

I say 11-7, 100%. We simply do not need that 12th forward for starters, having our top guns share that position just makes so much sense to me. Having that 7th Dman on the other hand can be quite useful. My plan (subject to change) would be to have Lily play every game and rotate Holl and Gusty depending on what makes sense at the time.
Gary I think if we're to go in on a long run you'll burn out the top forwards this way.

Extend Dubas, extend Keefe, extend everybody, well except for a couple of players… shhhh

They probably need to hit the next round for that. They sold the farm for this team and going forward it won;t be better. This really is the year to win it if we are.

Bruins and Tampa should fall back some next season. If we can bring back most of this cast and add a couple of nice pieces, we should win the Atlantic. Then we need to worry about NJ, Canes and NYR taking any steps forward.

ECF or bust for Dubas and Keefe I say. That should be the bar here not keys to city for Round 1.

Saying they shouldn't be fired isn't giving them the keys to the city for what it is worth.

Extending them is keeping them. I don't want to keep a management group that simply utilized mostly luck to get by a 1st Round as justification to extend. They spent the farm, admitted they were wrong and made the team that they said they would never make. Essentially wasted 3 years of attempts on a failed ideology. I think its fair to say, make it past two rounds before we consider extensions.
