Post-Game Talk: LEAFS ADVANCE TO 2nd ROUND BABY!!!!

I don't. Luckily I would say you are in the minority on this one. Management should stay, hopefully we keep going regardless.

As a bruins fan, I am very happy for you guys advancing and knocking down the bolts !! Half my family is split between bruins and leafs. So I hope we advanced tonight(shoulda already) but it’s the playoffs right?! Anything can happen. Best playoffs for a sport on earth! Again Congrats ! Long time coming and I wish you all the best !

Tons of respect to Tampa Bay and their fans. They are one tough out that is for sure. Absolutely no quit in that group.

I always hated Ottawa, Philly, Boston, etc. but those feelings just aren't there against Tampa.

Can't wait for Round 2! I hope this is the beginning of something great.

That’s pretty much sums up what I have in my mind the past few playoffs. They can do but when. Glad it happened last night. One down and three more series to go.

Haha this times a thousand. I'm starting to come down a bit but yeah, feeling good!

I've also posted several times already today about the mad respect I have for TB. And because they were so good, beating them is extra sweet. It's not like we took out some bubble team for our first series win in forever, we beat one of the best teams in the league!

And I'll say it again, thank you Ilya Samsonov. Just typed out your full name for the first time ever as a sign of respect. You da man!!!!!

Extra sweet for sure. Tampa hasn't lost to an Eastern Conference team in 3 years. The Leafs played a hell of a series. With the gorilla off their backs, momentum and coming off a series win a against a team that good and tough - sky is the limit!

PS.

F*** the haters. Their teams didn't beat Tampa.

Bring it on fellas, can't be be any happier than to face the Bruins. It's playoffs and no team wins 4 games by fluke, so I'm looking forward to the match up.

No mention of Nylander because for me I have no issue with what he did on the play. As I said, it's a split second where Gus loses positioning that causes the problems. So as the puck is coming up the boards as far as Nylander is concerned everyone has their man, because they did, and his job is to cover the point, which he does.

Now you could argue that he should have recognized the danger and hustled back on Stamkos instead of covering the point, but on the flip side the chance you're trying to take away is a soft wrister from the point to try and create an outmanned rebound opportunity. If he does come back on Stamkos and takes that away Tampa just slides it over to Sergachaev who's now wide open to walk into one in the slot - probably a more dangerous chance then the wrister from the point looking for a rebound.
