I woke up feeling so good this morning. I think I actually want Boston next series to get that curse over with as well. But just as happy to play Florida. I think with the monkey off their backs these boys are going to make some more noise this post season. 19 years of futility gone and a blank canvas going foward, life is good. Go Leafs Go!!!

Do ypu guys want to play Boston or Florida? Florida would be an easier series, but we could kill the curse that we have with Boston in past playoffs.

I don't see either series as being easier than the other.

If Florida wins, they'll be pumped. I don't take them lightly. And Boston is, well, Boston.

Same with all the Tampa players. They were all looking around like "Does that count? What happened?"

Yeah, I think that is the common theme today.

"Does it count?"

Even though I watched after the game was over and I knew the score ... "was it offside?" ... "was there goaltender interference?" ... "any kicking motion?"

After missing the game last night, I have spent an hour this morning watching rvery hightlite clip I can find.

The 4 min handshake line video is pretty good. Schenn and Hagel laughing with each other is cool.

We teach all of our players to be savages on the field, and gemtlemen off. No need for the hate to carry over into life.

Reminds me of Sam and Ralph from the old Looney Tunes

While the NHL has yet to release its second round schedule as they await the results of the remaining series, referee Wes McCauley has confirmed he will be overseeing every Maple Leafs match going forward to ensure that “such an injustice doesn’t occur again.”

Johnny getting the OT Series winner is poetic justice given how he nearly carried us to victory last year if not for a BS high stick call in Game 6 and the goal that was taken away in Game 7.

A BS high stick? You mean like the one a certain Sens fan is crying about on the playoff board? It can't be!

Can you post the handshake line clip? I'd like to watch.

So now we reset and have Liljegren, Gustavson and Knies out. Holl, Lafferty and Aston-Reese in? 🤔
Gus played under 8 minutes total, no shifts in OT and less than a minute in the 3rd, plus while there's some blame to go around he's probably the biggest reason for the 1 goal against. I'd be surprised if he plays the next game.

Lilly on the other hand played 4 minutes in the 3rd and another shift in OT. Not a lot but not completely hidden either.

Hard to say but I wouldn't be surprised to see 7D again with Holl in for Gus. Especially if we play Boston - they'll want Holl on the PK to deal with the Pastrnak one-timer.

Super pumped for this group to finally get over that first round hump!

I was thinking back to the excitement of the Leafs winning a couple rounds, and came to the realization that since I truly became a fan in 82-83, they have only won something like 14 playoff series in my lifetime.

Comparison to a team like the Habs who have won 2 cups in my lifetime, they have won 33 series in that same time span! Buffalo has won 13 to look at the other side of the spectrum.

There is a lot of built up elation ready to bust out of Leafs Nation. So let it fly!!
