There's something about watching a hockey game in Montreal
Even though they weren't leafs fans at the bar, their knowledge of hockey is just mind bogling

We had a small section of leafs fans with these girls, they were annoying but it was good to have them there. Every other play, ' what you doing, what you doing, get it out, no no no no, no no no ' yes one more pitcher please

How hilarious will it be winning a series with Samsonov after all the talk about our goaltending....if the Bruins turn around and lose their series tonight because their goaltender with no playoff expierence has turned into a sieve.

I yelled so loud my wife was worried I'd disturb the neighbours. I was like what is it, 10 PM or something, WTF are you worried about?:laugh:
It was 5 AM here in Finland. I thought I would react like that if we won, but said earlier to my GF, that I don't know how I would react and it was weird. You're like super pumped, but at the same time confused and relieved. It's been a great day.

Gus played under 8 minutes total, no shifts in OT and less than a minute in the 3rd, plus while there's some blame to go around he's probably the biggest reason for the 1 goal against. I'd be surprised if he plays the next game.

Lilly on the other hand played 4 minutes in the 3rd and another shift in OT. Not a lot but not completely hidden either.

Hard to say but I wouldn't be surprised to see 7D again with Holl in for Gus. Especially if we play Boston - they'll want Holl on the PK to deal with the Pastrnak one-timer.

That goal was not Gus's fault. That was Knies and a bad rebound by Sammy. Gus actually played really well, provided much needed mobility back there

It's not easy for Gus and Lilly to come into a game 6 without having to play last 3 weeks

I initially thought it was a horrible rebound too but the replay shows that the point shot was tipped in close to Samsonov. Very tough play. I imagine if it doesn't get tipped, he grabs it and smothers it.

I'm sure nothing will be said.

Unbelievable, f*** yes. Im in shock. The boys won a few games they didnt deserve to this time. That's what you gotta do in the playoffs sometimes.

I almost hope they face Boston 2nd round. Get 2 monkeys off their back in 1 go.

Also, can we get Samsonov signed asap please. Cost is only going up at this point

Would you guys keep the 11-7 going, or do we go back to 12-6

I wouldn't mind going 12-6 with Laf in and Gus out but, why fix something that worked.

Big shout out to Accari and Kerfoot who had an excellent end to the game, kept the pressure up and didn't give Tampa a second when they were on the ice. Also McCabe may be my favorite leaf defender now, Dubas best trade by far
Kerfoot was excellent

I know what you mean. It's funny that I was thinking about this before the game, I was so subdued, kind of numb even I was just so nervous and I though that if we scored, I might just stay completely silent. But then when it happened I just leapt out of my chair and shouted.

I love the playoffs man, I can't believe it's been so long since we made the second round. Hoping this ride last a long time!

I say 11-7, 100%. We simply do not need that 12th forward for starters, having our top guns share that position just makes so much sense to me. Having that 7th Dman on the other hand can be quite useful. My plan (subject to change) would be to have Lily play every game and rotate Holl and Gusty depending on what makes sense at the time.

Personally I prefer 12-6, less cumbersome on the bench and there was a few times last time where you could see the lack of familiarity in the defense pairing (How many times had Gio and Gis played together before?)

That was my thinking as well.

Just keep Zar and Holl out for now. Rotate them in when other players start playing poorly.
