I really think how the refs were the stories in the first few playoff games(not just us) we’re made into such a big deal, all the refs calm down and put the whistle away.
yeah unless somebody does something that affects the game or play then I'm fine with them not calling the little things. Nobody wants to watch both teams being on the PP for half the game.

Aside from a few minutes in the first I didn't turn the game on again until right before Tampa scored. I seen the Knies giveaway and then the rebound and knew it was going in and turned the TV back off before the goal even happened.

I messaged my brother and said I'm clearly bad luck and won't be tuning in again and will instead follow this thread / ESPN app. I'm happy with my decision. :D

Congrats to the Leafs. Now go get us 12 more wins!
thanks for turning it off.

other than game 1 I was fine with the officiating and the main reason game 1 was bad was because McCauley shouldn't be reffing games Keefe is in. This game I know people are mad they didn't call that high stick on Brodie but Stamkos sold a high stick in the first when he didn't even get touched by a stick so I think it evens out.
Bad/missed calls will happen. I am just glad the refs aren’t putting their thumb on the scale to keep games close.

Yep. Call the consequential and dangerous infractions. Let them play otherwise. Should be the rule of thumb always but if they’re getting it right in the playoff it’s a start.

What better night for Bad Luck Brian to become Good Luck Brian

Almost cried when the Leafs scored. It was 12 days before my 18th birthday that Philly knocked us out of the 2nd round in 2004. And now I'm 17 days until my 37th birthday, and I will finally see 2nd round hockey again. It's been so long. Unreal. So proud.

You know it's bad when Sportsnet commentators will openly say the Leafs better score on this PP because you know they'll get some calls against them here soon to make up these PPs.

That's so unprofessional, why even talk like that? They have no influence on the game, and comes across as amateurish.

I still can’t believe it. Watched a clip of AM after the game with his dad warmed my heart. You can see how relieved AM was, it showed he really cared and wanted to win.
I often laugh when some people say players like him or Ovie didn't care to win. What happens is after repeated failures you actually care too much.

When you relax enough is when it's easier to win.

Hahahahaha can’t do that , grew up near Niagara and loved tue Sabres , now I live in Vancouver and the fan base here and the city is just so good and it was hard to but become a Canucks fans .

So I love both teams and cheer did both . Am I a bandwagon jumper ? Don’t think so , both teams have been bad for a while and I have stuck by both of them
I live Gatineau, Quebec. Never have I ever been or ever will be a Sens fan nor a Habs.
Blue & White in the veins till I'm 6' under ;):thumbu:

That's why I was so glad they didn't call that little one handed high stick at the end, there's not a chance after all the calls they've had on their side especially in deciding games last year.
