I guess that speed and acceleration are no longer part of this team's advanced analytics criteria.
Do people even still use erasers? I haven't used an eraser since college exams. lolThere better be some "Human Eraser" signs at his first home game. Let's hype the crap out of this bottom pairing dman!
Plot twist. JVR acquired next.It has come full circle
Yea, I think it makes sense to move another guy out. Have your expected top 6, your 1-2 legit NHL dmen depth pieces, and Benn/Mete in reserve if needed.Improved depth perhaps, have see later round picks trade for guys like that in previous years. Also could be further moves to create more space on the blueline
I think Gustafson is probably sitting or getting traded, though i guess he could have been acquired as a PP options. Also going from Schenn to Holl (if that is what it comes to) seems like a un-Dubas like decision.Yea, I think it makes sense to move another guy out. Rielly-Brodie
McCabe-Liljegren
Gio-Holl
NHL extras: Timmins/Schenn
Further depth: Mete/Benn
I would think it's Gustafson or Holl out. We just traded for Schenn, so it's not him, and we re-signed Timmins within the past month, so I don't it's him. And then it's obviously nobody else.
Yea, the way I wrote it was assuming Gustafson as the odd-man out, because Holl is probably the best defensively of the group and most reliable to play ~20 minutes if needed.I think Gustafson is probably sitting or getting traded, though i guess he could have been acquired as a PP options. Also going from Schenn to Holl (if that is what it comes to) seems like a un-Dubas like decision.
The man is literally bleeding PASSSION
Nucks PK is really bad, like really bad. Or else they(MGT, fans and medias) won't be overjoy when they signed Soup bc they thought he is someone who really can help them PK.Fun fact about Schenn:
151st out of 153 defensemen with over 50 PK minutes in GA/60 on the PK this year (over 15 GA/60). VAN does get terrible PK goaltending, and the two guys worse than him are also on VAN, but his xGA also suck (131st) while OEL (152nd in GA) is 22nd in xGA and Bear (dead last) is 109th.
Holl, comparatively, is 12th in the league out of 153 defensemen with 5 GA/60 (Morgan Rielly is surprisingly 6th in the league after qualifying with enough minutes as our #5 PK defenseman) and 33rd in xGA/60.
Schenn has had some actual success running shotgun with Hughes, but his underlying numbers suck with him and away from Hughes, he is not even NHL-caliber. So there is a 3rd round pick effectively riding on him being significantly better with TOR than he was in VAN and working well with Rielly, because otherwise, he is effectively a RH version of Jordie Benn... Which puts him 9th or 10th on our healthy depth chart with Holl still on the team.
Throwing a ton of hits doesn't make up for being a terrible defenseman who is worse than 8 other guys on our depth chart.

Only if he takes Buntings spot on the top line.Plot twist. JVR acquired next.

Their bottom 6 are not PKers and thats why Petey, Bo, and Miller needed to PK and if they are on the Leafs, none of them would be on the PK.
Whats I am trying to say is that don't think it is fair to judge Schenn's PK numbers.
Having said that, I do agree Scheen should be our No. 7 Dman and no more. Thats why I still think there is a deal out there for another Dman with Holl, Kerfoot and the added Bos 1st.
Yeah, I preferred House of Pain. What it's like was just low Twasn't he really humble on his return tho idk
