There's definitely a bit of a logjam. May be more moves coming before the deadline, or we may just like having a few extra quality players for the injuries that are virtually inevitable in the playoffs. I think the lines you have are reasonable, though worth noting that last game Keefe switched Marner/Nylander with good results, we're probably seeing more Bunting/Matthews/Marner and JT/ROR/Nylander for the near future.So what are we looking at?

In the offseason, definitely some changes coming. Bunting, ROR, Kerfoot, Engvall, Holl, Kampf, Acciari, and ZAR are all UFAs, and Samsonov is an RFA, and certainly some of them will not be back.
Personally I'm hoping we let Kerfoot and Holl walk, deal Murray to free up cap space, and try to keep most/all of the rest, but will depend on which guys are willing to take discounts. Bunts and ROR, both are from southern Ontario and grew up Leafs fans, if they'd be willing to take discounts to stay on the team, that'd be huge. Guys who wanna maximize payday, we probably have to let them walk and look for bargain alternatives - Dubas has proven very good at this the past few years.

Anderson is quitely pretty good defensively. Makes smart decisions. His offensive game remains big question mark.
Imo just needs more consistent time.to find his feet. Should be good fit for a rebuilding team

What I don't get is people equating anything in the past to anything in the present or future. 55 years with no Cup wins means no more than winning 55 in a row. Because that's all in the past, and #56 is not guaranteed.
There is only now. And the now is that the Leafs made a couple of huge trades to address needs, and are a powerhouse and can play any style. Will they win? Who knows. But what they did is give themselves the very best opportunity to do so this season.
Why shit on this when people should be enjoying it. Win or lose, they left nothing on the table this year. That to me is the most exciting thing, and even better are the rumblings that Kerfoot may be on the move. lol

I would say that Anderson looked decently good his latest audition. He could be a less physical Lafferty. He has a bit of a scoring touch and is safe, dependable, but unspectacular. Goes to the dirty areas though.
Gogolev just got turnstiled by too many prospects jumping over him, but he has size and hands. The main issue is he has to be introduced to his goalie at the end of every game, and his counting stats wouldn't support that style of play. He may be more motivated with a clearer path to playing time and the right linemates.

I think AM and WN are just fine together and I think Tavares clicks better with Marner than he does with Willy.

People kept saying this is our last dance with the coe, AM is leaving in the summer….Can’t afford Willie…. Now that Dubas is doing the exactly what Last Dance means and the same people complain about the future…..
We all know that prior to these trades, if the boys don’t go far in this playoffs, changes will come, now that Dubas is acting exactly like that and people are now against it? Come on, guys.
Dubas didn’t get a whole bunch of nobody, all these four players are guys that build for the playoffs esp ROR.
Let’s enjoy this team bc quite frankly, Cup or not, I don’t think we will ever see any future Leafs team that is close to be as talented as our boys now.

i mean matthews points/goals say otherwise..
stylistically they dont fit together, willy holds the puck too much and matthews needs to work harder down low on defense with willy on his line imo, marner removes some of that responsibility from matthews and marner has an ability to find matthews in prime scoring chances better than anyone else clearly. JT scores alot more of the net front kind of goals that he can produce with nylander on his line carrying the majority of the possession. finally, without matthews being on of your 2 best players in the post season i dont think this team can get all the way.
