I would be fine dealing that pick for one of losing Ritchie/gaining Lyubushkin. To do both and add Dzingle on top is a win.

Hopefully Lyubushkin can fill the Bogosian roll that we've missed.

……. And so it begins.

I won’t say anything until we see what we look like after the TDL, and the trades made by us and our playoff competition.

I'm not sure why Dubas should get credit for having to waste a 2nd to get rid of that terrible Ritchie contract he signed in the first place. Whatever. I hope Dzingel does something useful occasionally.

Dubas gets rightly criticized for the Ritchie mistake, and now rightly gets credit for admitting and solving that mistake quickly and painlessly.

I wonder when they have to make that decision? Would it be right up until draft day so that pick is basically a frozen asset until then? That sucks
Yeah, I suppose it is. But, we can't really worry about a third next year. It could turn out that part of the condition is about the Leafs trading the third and it automatically reverts to the 25 second. Doubtful, but the trade is presented as a conditional 2nd.

idk much about dzingle or lyub but the fact that leafs can get them for ritchie doesn't bode well

Arizona's (only?) present advantage here is acquiring a player under contract for next season in exchange for two pending UFAs. Not sure we've ultimately done anything greater than fortify the bottom parts of the lineup at forward and defence. Considering that Ritchie still counts against the cap while in the AHL though...

I've never watched hockey. Only stats.

Look I'm not trying to be an idiot here. It was a legit question. You give out a lot of stats, and they're great. I'm just asking if you're judging him because of stats or have you actually watched him? But just go ahead and get all defensive and think I'm attacking you.

Ritchie played horrible, not exactly an easy trade chip to sway the trade in your favour.

This is a wait and see move.

Oh I still make the move, I just would like to know when that choice is made by AZ.

Haven’t followed Dzingel in a while how’s he been? And I know nothing of the other guy besides seen some ppl mention him here recently.

Ritchie was terrible we all know this but what surprised me the most was his personality/lackadaisical attitude which is the opposite of what Dubas looks for. Glad he’s gone and I’m on the pro physicality side of the fan base.

I dunno, playing 20+ minutes on the top matchup pairing on one of the better defensive teams in the league seems to be handling it pretty well.

Why are you judging him against Holl?

You’ll be icing Brodie, Holl, Lyubushkin. Throw in the young kids for Holl if he still sucks.
