Dzingel is a nice low risk throw in… could just keep being a bum, or maybe the Leafs can work with him (like Galchenyuk) and get something out of him.

Lyubushkin (great name) is the definition of a stay-at-home defenseman. He brings zero offense. Solid 3rd pair/depth guy.

Dzingel could be really interesting. Way better than Ritchie, of course, and not signed beyond this year (neither is Lube)

Can't complain about adding to a couple of areas on the team without subtracting anything from the big club (for now). I'd still expect Dzingel to slot in for a decent amount of time but definitely figure Lyubushkin to have the clearer path to a regular spot out of the two newcomers. Shouldn't be much doubt that the Leafs become a better team by virtue of this trade.

Lyubushkin seems to play Holl’s game but can handle a bigger workload, he’ll be nice on the second pair.

Just like that, a bad mistake has been erased.

Now move Dermott+ for a better LD or middle six forward.
