What's the risk really? Unless he comes here and his point totals completely plummet (doubtful seeing he'll likely quarterback pp1 with some crazy talented forwards) he should be movable in a few years if we decide to blow it up for futures. In the worst case scenario he blows chunks and the team regresses we're going into a rebuild and do not really need to spend anywhere near the cap.

Good morning to all the non-Night Owls who are gonna read this when they wake up lmao. Depending on the AAV this should be a solid and stabilizing pickup for our backend. Raddysh can help our powerplay QB woes and provides strong puck movement and offence, and is a tough cookie too. He's also a "good Ontario boy" from Toronto, for whatever that's worth.

There’s no more 8 year contracts. The max is 7 years. Last year was the last of the 8 year contracts.

Not true. The new CBA is in effect from Sep. 16th 2026. 8 year deals can still get done before then.

Don't think we acquired Andrae to bench him. Think Chayka plans fully to give him a chance to run with (and start here with confidence) unless he completely falls on his face in training camp.
