Maybe the Core 4 making over $10 million each can worry about scoring on the PPWe couldnt score on the powerplay last playoffs... are Carlo and Laughton going to fix this problem?
History of concussions is a concern………Only question i have about him is injury history
It's quite an upgrade to have him instead of Timmins on a PK for instance.Special teams rule in the playoffs. Our PP needs to be better and has the potential to be the best with the core we already have now. Our PK is 16th best in the NHL, both Laughton and Carlo are big PK guys
Whole heap of copium going on here.Barkov and Reinhart don't have bite and same thing with Verhaeghe. They're good but not exactly gritty. The three guys are Tkachuk (who's hurt), Bennett and Marchand, but he's old now and never drops the gloves, he really shouldn't be someone anyone is afraid of.
The last time we played FLA in the playoffs we didn't have Knies (got hurt and was 19), Tanev, McMann, Domi, Laughton, Carlo, OEL. I think we'll be ok.
Btw, Florida's core is older than ours. Barkov, Bennett, Verhaeghe, Reinhart vs Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Rielly.
No more excuses for Rielly, if Morgan can't get it together paired with Carlo then it's safe to say he's cooked.
Fan /= cheerleader. Thank You.Cynical People,
Go cheer for another team.
Holy smokes.

I sit second row behind net lined up with post Bruins defend periods 1 & 3 and have probably seen 1500-2000 live NHL games, am part Neanderthal when it comes to hockey and still have old tapes of Tiger Williams & Wendel Clarke. So don’t listen to that BS Carlo is soft - he’s not cross checking everyone like Brad McCrimmoh or Behn Wilson but he’s plenty active and physicalFor anyone thinking Carlo is physical, he is very soft for his size. Although he’s solid defensively, great on the PK and clearing the front of the net.
Will be a solid partner for Reilly, if not the best he’s ever had
You can deem this is a slight overpayment for sure but he's a Big, Strong, Right-handed Top 4 Defenseman in his prime locked up at a very reasonable AAV for the next few years.
This is the type of players you slightly overpay for
Price was high, but this is a big time asset that we have for three playoff runs at 3.5 million. Hard not to love this addition.
Must give Treliving credit, looks like the defence might actually become the strength of the team (provided Carlo meshes well and settles down Rielly).
Especially with a divisional rival. This is not an overpayment for what you said. He has resale value if need be. This was actually an impressive move
Treliving has revamped our D spectacularly in the past 12 months. Well done.
I feel a thousands times more confident in Tanev, OEL, and Carlo then I do in Sandin, Liljegren, and Timmins.
Minten has never impressed me. He’s a safe honest player who will never move the needle.
Carlo is a big body right handed shot the leafs have sorely missed for years. Hits blocks are his game. Sign me up
