Question for you instead of riling up your forum. What's up with Gallagher? He just doesn't seem to be the same effective pest we're used to seeing. His size starting to catch up with him or just an off year?
I think he has been on his regular 30 goals pace from the past three seasons it s just that other players have been contributing more and hence his production is now compared to Anderson s and Toffoli. He does not take many silly penalties and was not really involved in many defensive mistakes. He is exactly what a realistic fan wants him to be : solid in defense and able to score several goals, important ones like last week. If you want some disappointing players, start with Price, Weber, Chiarot ;) people are blaming KK but he is only 20 years and was not allowed to developped properly in the Liiga and Julien is making him play close to the boards while he actually generates goals from the center of the ice.

I'm happy with the game. I'm not happy that a lot of people here can watch a game where Muzzin, Holl and Rielly were no bueno, decide that Nylander should be benched and that Keefe was actually dumb enough to agree with yall.
All 4 of them were ass but it’s easier to bench a forward than a dman let alone 3 dmen. Nylander was a straight liability on the ice after the 1st and as someone who usually defends him, even I can admit that this was his worst game by far this season.

It's awesome when they show opposing team coaches when they get scored on.

Keefe was mad behind the mask at the 2-2 goal.
Good win overall, but allowing 2 breakaways after being up 2-0? We can be a lot better still.

I liked the lines tonite, Kerfoot on the 2nd has awakened him, he's not a 3rd liner.

The 3rd line of Hy, Mikhey, Eng was impressive all night long, they all have hands of stone but they can skate and possess while defending.

Vesey even looked decent on the 4th line, he was noticeable unlike most games.

TO just keeps on winning. love it.

Glad we won, and love the Leafs same as the next guy, probably couple of decades longer than some here, but I am still not convinced this team is physical enough to go far in POs.

Getting outhit so lopsidedly, game in game out, is not something to be complacent about imo, lets be real here.

And I don't buy the excuse it's cause we have the puck much longer than the opponents.
We've been outhot bvy Montreal almost 90-30 in last two games. Have we had the puck 3 times longer?! Maybe someone can prove me wrong with the possession stats! I'll reconsider my overreaction then.

Sorry for coming across negative, specially after a win against a hated rival, but once again I witnessed the same frustrating underlying issues as usual with this team.

I wante see my beloved Leafs finally go far in the POs, so I won't let get fooled just because we win games now. We should want our team to always improve if we really care.

Acquiring Simmond was a great step in the right direction, but for the life of me I don't understand why management doesn't inject a player or two that can show some pushback in games where shown our lack of physicality.

Anderson, Anderson... was have his way with our boys fcol! Should we just be happy about this?
I was so pissed seeing him on ice each time, cause I knew a hit was coming.

Anyways, that's was just my rant for tonight. Enjoy the win tonight boys and girls.
On to seeing what Bennett and Tkachuk have in store for our boys next :(

We're so lucky to have Matthews and Marner. It's such a gift to see them play for this team every night.

Thought the 3rd line was really good. Wasn't a huge fan of Kerfoot on the wing last year, but thought he's been good there lately. Gotta give a shoutout to Brodie. I find myself forgetting to mention him because he's just so reliably solid every time.

Not sure how Muzzin got 2 minutes for being punched in the back of the head (should be a suspension for Anderson), but got the win. Keep 'em comin'!

The problem with Engvall is he is not a center. Kerfoot is a more natural fit for the center position, but he also looks good at 2LW right now.

Maybe the Leafs chase a 3C instead of a top 6 winger. There are a lot of 3C trades we can make and I doubt it costs us a lot to get it done.

Engvall has had 3 games as 3rd line C this year and the 3rd line has been pretty great in all 3 of them.
