I'm usually a very positive guy when it comes to the leafs.

But believe it or not, there's a cynic buried deep deep down in my psyche.

And that cynical voice is wondering if the division is just super weak and we're preying on them.

But I just bitch-slapped that cynical voice, and have decided to just embrace how fun it is watching the boys dominate night after night.

Leaf fan and cynic are synonymous.

How can we not be with all we’ve had to endure over the years.

I agree we need to enjoy the ride.

And they did it TWICE.

It was like most games the last 2-3 weeks

1st line was incredible
4th line did their job
2nd and 3rd struggled, but somehow produced a goal or 2 which allowed the team to win.

Nice game. Matthews is just unreal. Couple rough moments for us but impressive win considering everything.
No issues with Keefe benching Nylander. He needs one sometimes. I expect him to respond.

Ship it.

A well rested team against a Leafs team who played five in eight.

Matthews rolling along at a Gretzky-like pace. Andersen kept them in it early. D played with purpose.

The 3rd line was very good. Did pretty much everything except score.

Tavares and Kerfoot were also more than fine. Nylander did not have his best game but at this point he just has to keep working at it and doing everything he can to get going. He had a couple of good chances at least.

The boys made things a bit exciting but once they settled down you could see who the superior team was
We have a bit more talent than the Habs and when we match their work ethic it shows.
I could use less of that excitement.

That Holl-Muzzin pairing is strange, look amazing one moment and are just standing around puck watching the next. I have my concerns about them against better teams.
Also Morgan Rielly.....man....dude is a veteran and still makes so many unnecessary pinches and stupid plays outside his own zone that cause nothing but trouble to his D partner.

Btw that Mikhayev-Engvall-Hyman line might be the most possession to least amount of goals ratio line I can think of.

The good thing is when Nylander gets benched, he usually bounces back.
