What are we going to complain about tonight

Nylander and Rielly would be my guess

So instead of talking about our large divisional lead, amazing first line, a strong goaltending performance and us sticking it to one of our main rivals after they've had rest and we're playing our 3rd game in 4 nights people are going to ***** about those guys instead

That's Leafs fandom for you

I really noticed the Habs had extra energy after the extended break tonight but the Leafs stuck with it and didn't let that beat them

I'm usually a very positive guy when it comes to the leafs.

But believe it or not, there's a cynic buried deep deep down in my psyche.

And that cynical voice is wondering if the division is just super weak and we're preying on them.

But I just bitch-slapped that cynical voice, and have decided to just embrace how fun it is watching the boys dominate night after night.

Well obviously you were watching the wrong game :sarcasm:
I liked the work ethic we had tonight.
A+game

Solid first .. fire wagon second .. strong third.

Impressed with the Leafs rebound after giving up the two goal lead in the second, and was happy to see that they slowed the game in the third and took control so easily.

Matthews and Marner continue to continue to dominate, what a spectacle.

Andersen was really good, especially early on, to keep the game 0-0. The PP dominated.

Big win to start building a division lead cushion.

Nylander started strong but loafed on some defensive efforts in the second half and earned that benching halfway in the third.

Tavares continues to battle for chances.

Overall against a well rested Habs team I was happy with the effort and energy level. They kept with it and just kept control as the game went on.

Great assessment.

Bit of a dogs breakfast to start the third but they locked it down nicely. That 3rd goal doesnt go in if Muzzin isnt hurt.

10 Point lead brethrens.

The one time we get home ice, it doesn't mean shit LOL
Yes, but this time we won't have to face F#%#$%$ Boston in the first round. Instead to get out of our division we only need to take out either the Habs, Oilers, Jets or Flames. I will take that trade any day. This season is a golden opportunity to make a deep run, that isn't going to come again anytime soon.

MISSING: HAVE YOU SEEN THIS MAN?

TBH I expected some of the carelessness after how much hockey the Leafs played this week but I'm glad they didn't shell up and let the game get away.

This Leafs group is showing a different mental fortitude than we've seen.

Overall not a very exciting game. Leafs looked tired, Andersen was good and Montreal wasn't able to push the pace at all. I'd be pretty disappointed if I were a Habs fan, that was a very winnable game after resting for a week.

I love winning on a Saturday on HNIC against the Habs.

It's a double win because I can celebrate with a couple Stanley Park Trail Hopper IPAs my roommate's bf left in the fridge. They taste pretty good.
