Dreger says they are trying to sell hope? Trying to get more Leafs fans to show up?

Our fans aren't stupid. Changing GMs doesn't change the players on the ice.

ok 4pm thing will be this prob:

After months of waiting, the NHL will take an important step towards finally dropping the puck on the 2012-13 season today as the Board of Governors is expected to ratify the new CBA in New York. Does that mean that right then and there the Leafs can trade for Luo?? I believe so.

And the guys on TSN are saying the same thing I am. They didn't like the way Burke was. What a joke.

anselmi was so easy to trick the media it's ridiculous. so why is that you didn't fire colangelo before burke? why was it that had to assess them before the raps who had a worse record? was it due to the money on hockey or was it because you just want an yes man?

It's so obvious they wanted a yes man. Burke is smart for having a guy like Nonis there to replace him, who can be a yes man, and still keep Burke's direction.

Pretty much. All i could think was you want a guy who you think on more of your thoughts and smile not a head strong leader like burke.

TSN is more concerned about the timing. The timing isn't the problem. It's the reasoning.

alright so we have 7 people on our fantasy league, we should probably try and get at least 1 more seeing as it will be head to head.

Honestly, would this get the same amount of attention anywhere else?

Like coverage wise I mean, say a team like Ottawa or San Jose fired their gm.

Tsn has been talking abut it non stop

I still didn't get a clear cut reason  ... It's all just muddled up crap

Because they can't give a clear cut reason, because it'll make them look bad. He was too strong willed and didn't like being told what to do. He was the President of the Leafs, and he couldn't be told what to do. Nonis gets senior-vice president, and is going to get told what to do.

definitely not

Maybe in Nashville. :sarcasm:

TSN basically thinks it's cause Nonis is more of a corporate guy and ownership just didn't like Burke's style. Nonis was a big factor in a lot of the Leafs moves the last few years, and he's going to manage the team similar to Burke did so it basically comes down to Burke's personality.

Whether you buy that or not......
