If he's in the WHL next year, it is totally unreasonable to think he'd slow down. He'd be 19-20 and totally dominate the league, more so than he did this year.
Haha is it possible to IMPROVE at this rate through next year though? He would be the best dman in the leage then.
The 2 best dmen in the WHL this year were Sanheim/Provorov, Provorov I could see in the NHL next year. I still think Sanheim is a better prospect than him though.
If Provorov is ready, there's a good chance Sanheim is as well. I think Flyers could definitely take him at #7, but I have a feeling he might get taken earlier. Some of the bottom teams really need high end defense in the their system. (That definitely includes the Flyers). Having said that We might need a young scorer, more at this point.
We have plenty of young talent in the defense ranks, we definitely need a forward more than another dman. Provorov is more ready for the NHL because he is much more physically mature. Sanheim definitely has much higher potential than him IMO, Provorov just seems like a steady guy with a high floor but a low ceiling. He doesn't do anything exceptionally well, unlike Sanheim.

Sanheim Provorov
That is a very nice group of defense prospects though![]()
I don't agree with you there. It is way to early to be making such a statement. I think they will both be as equally effective and great on the pp. Provorov would go higher if they were in the same draft.
1 goal 1 assist and a plus 3...tied for 2nd in playoff scoring..Brandon up next?
Has his next series started yet?

Gonna be the best defensemen in that draft after Ekblad IMO.

Shea Theodore?
Theodore only played 43 games. Who knows what happens in those other 24 games. ST is a great prospect as well.
Yeah, but would you say they're both actually better than Theodore, or did they just have better seasons because 43 games isn't enough to count?
The jury's certainly still out on the first question, but yeah, you could say Provorov and Sanheim had better seasons than Theodore. Hell, Mark Giordano played 61 Norris-level games this year and wasn't even nominated for the trophy. Playing a full season matters.
But my point is, are we talking about projections as NHL players or just evaluating their seasons?
NHL next year?
