I'm sorry, I didn't see the smilie to indicate the sarcasm. Silly me!Is your sarcasm detector broken?
The Hawks did lose Hayes to FA, so it's not like they've solely been beneficiaries.
Hopefully since your sarcasm detector is top notch, it was able to catch that.
He's from Minnesota and payed his college hockey there. My guess is he wants to play near home, in which case Minnesota is probably his preference but Chicago is a far better opportunity. He's a good fit with what they do, there are holes on their third pairing so he has a shot at playing right away and doing so for a very good team.
The distant third place option may be Winnipeg, it's about the same distance as Chicago but needs a border crossing. Winnipeg may have slightly more opportunity than Minnesota but nothing like the one in Chicago. He probably only considers it if neither Chicago or Minnesota pan out for him.
He was born in Chicago but raised in Minny. He has a better opportunity to make the club in Chicago than Minny. I think there's only three runners in this race.
1. Chicago
2. Minnesota
3. Columbus
