Jake Bischoff. Skjei and Collins shut down the other teams' best players, and this year totally shut down Larkin, Hyman, and Bailey among others.

So, when you compare the offensive game of Reilly, and the defensive game of Collins......if you had to bet....which of the would have a better chance of being a quality NHL player?

IMO, Reilly's potential ceiling is higher (high risk/high reward). But Collins is the safer bet to have a long NHL career.

Too early to say on Collins. He was the guy that gave the fanbase the most nervous moments this year.

Those two are the toughest to watch play defense on this year's squad.

Reilly because he doesn't seem to care too much about that end of the ice, Collins because he just looks totally lost sometimes.

Would be a really nice pickup for Chicago, very talented and calm with the puck, not hard to imagine him maturing into a good 2nd pairing dman for them. I think it'd be a good choice for him to go to a team like Chicago (or Minny), where he could be brought along slowly and really work on his defensive game, vs. pulling a Schultz and going to a team where's he's thrust immediately into a big role before he's ready.

Players sure are damn spoiled these days, hate when this happens...

I mean when you think about it, it's understandable to want to be able to decide where you want to work. I think it's lame for this to happen after CBJ invested a pick and development time to the kid, but I'm not going to call him spoiled for wanting to control his own life.

He should be thankful he was drafted there were many who weren't as lucky. Playing in Columbus a few years wouldn't have killed him.

Nope. Chicago is his preferred destination. 2nd choice Minnesota if Chicago doesn't work out

He's from Minnesota and payed his college hockey there. My guess is he wants to play near home, in which case Minnesota is probably his preference but Chicago is a far better opportunity. He's a good fit with what they do, there are holes on their third pairing so he has a shot at playing right away and doing so for a very good team.

The distant third place option may be Winnipeg, it's about the same distance as Chicago but needs a border crossing. Winnipeg may have slightly more opportunity than Minnesota but nothing like the one in Chicago. He probably only considers it if neither Chicago or Minnesota pan out for him.
