Some have been doubting him but i've been saying I think he will be in the Adam Fox mold. Just look at the show he put on at rookie camp vs the leafs, the title says it all,

sure Hutson with a 27.78 Corsi For% against Toronto "lead both teams in puck possession." In actuality he was below Barron, Matheson, Savard and every single Leafs defender. xGF% even worse. He was not remotely the best dman on the ice that game, the gaslighting is nuts.
He did, in literal puck possession.

i don't know how you can be a fan of hockey but not be a fan of players like hutson.

everyone should want him to succeed, game would be better for it.
Habs' prospect, so people don't like the Habs, but more so their fans and as a hab fan I get it.

That's why people don't want him to succeed. They know if he does well, hab fans will become more obnoxious like any big fan base that has a promising player.

I think offensively the sky is the limit. Thr issue will be how well he defends which he can learn and improve upon even if it’s never a strength of his game. I also think some of thr criticism is just folks taking jabs for thr sake of it. Montreal isn’t likely to make a playoff run quite yet which allows the team to just work on developing his game and allows the fans to just enjoy the journey for now.

This seems like an indictment on Barron Xhekaj Matheson and Guhle. (Especially Xhekaj and Barron who have looked utterly horrific)

He didn't have a great game vs Toronto, but was excellent vs Boston

Yeah yeah yeah

It's not that Hutson might be good, it's that everyone sucks!!!

I think that someone misunderstood the meaning of 'Pumping the Brakes'...

There's a lot of thing "someone" seems to misunderstand IMO

Letting up more than FIVE expected goals/60 5v5 is truly horrific.

For context, since 2007, 4741 dmen have had seasons where they played at least 50 minutes 5v5 (about 4-5 games worth). Not a single one has given up more than 5 xgoals/60 5v5

2.31xGoals/60 against 5v5 is certainly good, but it's not anything incredible (for context, out of those same 4741 dmen seasons, it would rank 2241st, although important to note that scoring has gone up).

Hutson has had good results.

But if 2 games is enough of a sample size on the positive side for Hutson, you should be VERY VERY concerned about how poorly everyone else has played in that same sample size

Hes very impressive , the way team defense seems to freeze when he has the puck is amazing to see for a guy who has not even played 10 nhl games.

Hes an offensive genius its that simple.

Remains to be seen how he will deal with his physical limitations but his mind is something else.

I got a lot of laughs when I said this before. I'll say it again.

2nd in a redraft after Slaf.

Slaf will need to get his arse in gear if he wants to keep pace with Hutson.

Right now, there is no one from that draft class playing at the shift-to-shift impact level Hutson has shown through the tiny sample-size of 5 NHL games.

Now that he's arrived and made it clear he belongs in the big dance, given Lane's competitiveness and confidence, it won't surprise me at all if he goes on to make it impossible for anyone, Slaf included, to catch him.

He's a unicorn
