Wish him the best back on the big ice, but he was just too stiff for Colorado. So when more mobile stay at home guys like Nemeth, Lindholm & now Siemens our played him; this became a fate-accompli.
That's not why, he played in the AHL like he thought it was a joke and undermined any chance they had at success. Avs love to bury their problems in the AHL so at least good for Andrei to pull the plug himself.Wish him the best back on the big ice, but he was just too stiff for Colorado. Signed a 3 year deal with Dynamo Moscow.
Elite Prospects says he's under contract until the 2021/22 season ends, so thats another two seasons, while your post would indicate he would've signed a four year contract. Did he add an extra year to his contract? Is there any indication he might want to come back to North America after his contract is up? It doesn't appear that talent was the issue with his stint in Colorado.
An Avs fan said it the best years ago; Avs thought Mironov would have a bit more talent and Mironov thought he would get a bit more opportunity. He wasn't necessarily bad, but had wide range of consistency issues in games and that made him become more of a scratch than what he was willing to be in the NHL. He's better off staying in the KHL and developing to a good enough level for Russia's national team.Elite Prospects says he's under contract until the 2021/22 season ends, so thats another two seasons, while your post would indicate he would've signed a four year contract.
