So Edmonton struggles against the top end of the league.

That would change with a legit number one goalie.
Let's face facts. Skinner would be on the bench or in
the minors if he were on any of those above listed top 10 teams.
The fact the Oil dragged Skinner all the way to game 7 of the final last year still amazes me.

Watch that first period again and tell me the Oilers played like an elite defensive team in it. Skinner isn't very good but Edmonton is paying him 2.6. You get what you pay for. Not his fault the team has been a goalie graveyard for nearly two decades.

Oilers were terrible in the first. Any team that has room for both Klingberg AND Kapenen ?.....well that ain't a good sign.
