For a rookie defenseman being relied on to create as much offence as he does, Hutson has been outstanding defensively (and of course offensively)since the 4n break

This can be quantified via the eye test, simple counting stats, and advanced stats.

To be fair Juneau had his rookie season in 1992-1993 when there was two expansion teams. The same season Selanne scored his 72 rookie goal record. Hutson is playing in a lower scoring era than many of those on that list. Only ones on the list that had their rookie season in the 2000s are Crosby and Barzal and one of those is somewhat close to Lemieux.
