Yeah players don't just lie about their heights but also their weights. I remember meeting Louis Leblanc back in the day and some people were saying that he was weighing now in the 190's up from like 180 and I was like nope. The guy was skinny, real skinny. I mean like 6' and maybe not even 170lbs.
I think it is Gaudreau that said he tape puck around is waist for the combine, to try to get a few extra pounds.

Anybody around here knows what's the record for most goals in a season by a dmen in the NCAA?
Going back to the 2000-2001 season:

Tom Preissing had 23 goals in the 2002-2003 season as a 24 year old

Jordan Leopold had 20 goals in the 2001-2002 season as a 21 year old

A bunch had 17-18 goals over the last last 20 years as well including Luke Hughes who had 17 goals as a freshman in the 2021-2022 season.

All time I have no clue though.

If he keeps it up, Lane might obliterate another college record.

It’s not a fair comparison to compare all time records for ncaa hockey because some of the 50s 60s and 70s numbers are ridiculous. There weren’t many serious programs back them. A player Scoring 6-7-8 goals in a game wasn’t rare.

The record on hockey east for goals by a defenseman is 16 by Cale makar and pts makar with 49. I predict lane obliterates that goal record.

The way he activates the moment he gets the puck at the blue line really is something to behold. It's like he's already thinking 5 moves ahead before the puck even gets to his stick.

This is what every player should be doing and is exactly why someone with so few physical advantages like Hutson can excel while a player with every physical advantage like Slaf can fail. This is not to say that Hutson is a guaranteed star and/or Slaf is a lock to be a bust but just to demonstrate how these two players are at the extreme opposite ends of the hockey IQ spectrum.

JUST because of THAT play..?
Not a SOUL on the habs can pass to Hutson... ever?

Reinbacher was looking pretty good with Hutson btw.

Posts have to be interpreted in different directions because of their brevity. But no.

I would like to see us get more elite skill in the top 6.

And yes, Reinbacher is looking like a good one.
