There is no substitute for his cerebral approach. I've said it before. NHL scouts need to start using functional MRI studies and try to map hockey IQ. In a redraft he would be a first-rounder. It's not just about what the scale and measuring tape say.

There is no issue with his top speed, we will see with his backward and pivots, but tonight it wasnt an issue.

One thing I liked quite a bit tonight was his first pass.

He's 5'10. Same height as Hughes and only 1 inch smaller than Harris.
He does need to put on some weight and get stronger, but that didn't seem an issue today.

He did look great in this game even without his bread and butter. Aka PP time.

MTL defence is going to be scary in 2-3 years.
