gotta go with BC tomorrow... they're so strong! Cutter, Ambrosio, Smith, Perreault, Leonard, Fowler.... it's gonna be a good one!
I think Mlntreal w’should draft Perreault with there 2nd round pick. I know he isn’t very tall but is built like a tank. Can score any number of ways. He isn’t unidimensional when it comes to scoring goals. Has the potential to be a really good nhler

Rangers' Perreault?

I was a big fan of Gabe on his draft year... still am! I was hopelessly wishing he would fall to our FLA pick before we traded it for Newhook but it was never going to happen... it was just a dream! :)

The games I've seen them play each other in were super tight.
BU can easily move on in this ONE GAME format.
Mathieu Caron is the key if they hope to win.

I will agree BC would trump them in a series.

I keep thinking how
Man, Lane is gonna have some BIG big brothers at the next levels lol

Guhle 6"3 , 200
Mailloux 6"4 , 220
Xhekaj 6"4 , 230
Reinbacher 6"3 , 200

I just don't see how we dont move forward as a team with those 4 guys especially (no offense to the Strubles, Harris's, Engstroms, and Bogdans)
+ hopefully lil Lane who will have NO shortage of possible 'big' partners

More and more I'm feeling like hey.. maybe keep Savard after all as a Vet#6 lol

you're right, BU could take this one and it wouldn't be considered an upset. And yes Caron will be the key... I wasn't a fan of his earlier this season, I thought he kind of sucked to be honest. But he elevated his game over the course of the season. He's no Fowler though ;)

it's gonna be a fun one to watch!

Adam Fox won a norris trophy. And is only 1.5 inches taller and less then 20lbs heavier. Hutson will put on Mass likely end up around 175-180lbs over the next few years.
How do you know? And at 20 he’s not getting taller. I keep seeing posts that say he’ll get taller and heavier. At 5 8 he won’t be able to move if he’s over 170. Anything more is too heavy. Work on his leg strength and skating. Accept that he will play at 170.

We can't know for certain how much he'll gain but it's simple math that he'll put on some weight. Add calories and work out, you'll gain weight. Unless he goes through another growth spurt then he'll be able to start putting on weight. Even the skinniest guys can do it if they work at it.

He's a pro athelete and I'd be surprised if he can't hit 180 within a couple of years.

There's no doubt he's way too light right now but long term it's something that they can work on.
I hope the 180 is mostly legs.

He’s either going to make it as a unique player or he won’t. Hoping for him to conform to a more predictable or proven trajectory isn’t going to happen. He’ll make the NHL because he’s Lane Hutson, not because he’s Quinn Hughes-lite or because he grows .5 inches and 25lbs.

Nobody denies that some people put on weight easier than others. That’s why I’d say it’ll take Hutson a couple of years to get to 180. Other guys would be able to do it a lot quicker.

Lots of calories, lots of working out… you’re going to gain weight.
And have an unnatural roided body.

He still has a year or two of potential height growth. The main issue with him putting on weight is his slight frame. Not much to work with there. He's similar to Guhle in that regard. Maybe another 10lbs without disrupting his agility, explosiveness etc...

Not sure the people thinking that Hutson’s size is an issue realize he’s playing in the NCAA with guys who are every bit as big as the NHL. It’s not a junior league.
Nhl players are way beyond ncaa players in strength and they are brutal on dmen. They are monsters. That’s how they make it. No comparison.

I don't think he'd get much taller but most men in their early to mid 20's especially athletes and people who work out a lot tend to put on 10-20lbs of muscle (most are closer to the 10-15lbs mark).

he's 165 now, so expecting a man to put on 10-15lbs between the ages 20 and 23 is the norm not the exception. What is commonly referred to as their "man strength"

I went from 145lbs to 165lbs in my early 20ies (20-25ish) and it was mostly muscles as i was playing hockey 2-3 times a week and skying on Saturday (was very skinny). I'm now 185 and it's mostly fat XD

That’s neat but the comparison is between college players and players in junior leagues.

I’ve seen enough of both to know there is a huge difference.
