Anyone has advanced defensive numbers for Hutson ? I always find he defends very well and kills plays at the NCAA level.

There are plenty of people under 5'10" who can not add enough lean mass to reach 185, especially athletes that can not compromise flexibility/agility/quickness etc. This is the correct answer....the incorrect answer is "because some can do it then why can't everyone do it". Lane has made zero gains in mass over the last calendar year and that is not exactly a promising trend that will lead to 185 as some would like him to reach. He is incredibly skinny with twiggy legs which is the most difficult body type to build up. People with naturally skinny legs and butt often can never really gain mass in those areas without the aid of steroids.

Like I have stated his body type is just genetically that of a very slim athlete and he will need to compensate mostly with skating improvements where more significant gains are more likely to be realized. The obsession with his size and his growth plates appears to be a wasted topic at this time as he is going to be undersized and we should all be more concerned about the measures that he is or is not taking to offset this disadvantage.
Maybe with some NHL money he can buy some whey, creatine and a dietetist :sarcasm:

Pretty sweet PP goal by Hutson to put BU up 2-0. Team isn't playing great, Hutson has been mostly solid.

Nice move.

If you're still playing pee wee hockey.

2-1 BU so far

Maine scores on the PP shortly after BU has a goal called back. BU has not been good at all. 10 shots after two periods and Celebrini shut down pretty effectively.

Game tomorrow - should BU lose does that mean Hutson could be in a Habs uni this week?

Nope. Road to Final Four is next. The Selection Show is Sunday and BU will definitely be involved in that.

They'll participate in the Regionals March 28-31. If they lose there, then Hutson is free to join Montreal.

If they win, they move on to Frozen Four which is April 11 & 13th. Montréal's season ends April 16th.

It's going to be hard against BC, i think BC has a good chance to win, so much talents on that team.
