So you're saying he doesn't have big thighs?

You seem confused. You keep saying that I'm wrong about Hutson but you've been unable to articulate what I'm wrong about. I've been one of the most complimentary posters in this thread, so I guess you think he's not a great young dman?
Nope. Just don't see the value rehashing the same points already articulated. Search function should help if your memory struggles with it.

The goals are gonna come for this guy as he gets more comfortable, people just need to be patient. Dude had back to back NCAA seasons with 15 goals, he's not unfamiliar with how to beat goalies. As that comfort level increases, he's gonna figure out his timing on when to fill in as the trailing D and start piling them up sooner rather than later IMO. He's got a great mid range wrister.

Two things can be true, Hutson can be vastly overrated by Habs fans and still be a stellar prospect

TBF (and I realize it's early) if he can keep up this pace, he has an actual shot of breaking the all time record for assists by a NHL rookie defenceman. (or atleast come close to it)

If it were to happen, it's pretty tough to overrate that.

Hutson is a treat to watch. He's an exception to the rule for players of his type. I can already see his decision making improve, and he has had full understanding of how to use his skills in the defensive zone instead of pushing offence at bad times. Happy to see him involve himself physically as well. Seems to have no issues taking hits to make plays, and protects himself well.

It will be very interesting to see how much better he can get, both by development and by having better linemates as time goes on.

He was off the hook good last night. Only one assist to show for it but easily could’ve had five. I’m so impressed with him. At this point I think he’ll be the best player taken in his draft.

Yeah it's pretty crazy. I had him 10th going into the draft (was so mad with the Mesar and Beck picks lol - one of those is looking great) but never thought he'd be pushing for top spot in a redraft.

Obviously too early to call but as a Habs fan I'm ecstatic with how he's played so far. Most exciting player we've had since Subban.
