Also it seems that he doesn't even have 17 assists.

2 last year in 2 games, 14 going into this game in 24 games.

so 16 through 26 games. Then adding on the assist from the game today without adding in the game?

You know people are reaching when they're using plus/minus to discredit a player, let alone a rookie D on an abysmal team.

Is he great on defense? Not particularly. Can he get better? Absolutely. But how about you actually watch some damn games instead of stat watching. He's not even bad in his own zone, he just needs to slow his game down a bit and choose when to rush more wisely, which will likely come with time. He's only played 27 damn games lmao

Bruins and Leafs fans in this thread are hilarious, they were saying the same stupid stuff when Subban came in MTL. Like McGuire said yesterday, Hutson will be nominated for Norris a few time a the next few years.

wrong, its that +/- isn't good enough on its own, and when you use advanced stats it actually shows his performance. If you watch games, you can see how well he controls the game, how often he leaves defenders stumbling, and of course the chances he generates every shift. Stay mad, hater

Let's be honest here 99% of dmen are bad at defending at the NHL at 20 years old. The exception are rare.
