Yep. He’s been fantastic.

Whoops, I thought this was the Cole Caufield thread. Sorry, my mistake.

Yep, Hutson’s been terrific too.

He does a lot of these unnecessary extra moves at the blue line that turn out to be low percentage. If he can simplify his game more and focus on getting shots through, he will rack up assists far more.

Thats such a disingenuous statement that it’s hard to know where to start to respond. But I’ll give it the old college try:

1) He’s played SIX GAMES. In his rookie year. There’s not nearly enough games in to form any correlation between time played and team success.

So it’s disingenuous for me to mention that fact about ice time and team success after six games but it’s not disingenuous to project him as being a star after six games based on “eye test”?

Just because you havent' heard of him or watched him, doesn't mean you shouldn't have an opinion.
Huh? How can you have an opinion of someone you never heard of or watched? I suppose someone could throw out their opinion of someone, but I'd certainly discount that opinion heavily.

Hasn't stopped a lot of posters in this thread. See below for an example.

Habs should try this kid on the wing. Less defensive responsibilities. Likely help the club with winning.

sens and leafs fans are SALTY
That's what happens when they get a taste of Hutson's Shake n bake:

One of the things I like about Hutson is his understanding of his place in the game. He doesn’t go all crazy over the top with celebrations and embarrass his opponents. He has a humble nature to him. He respects the game. His opponents will respect him for that.

He also finds memes to be really funny and understands it's just simple jesting.

While he is humble in interviews it takes someone rather less humble to have zero compulsion in trying to bait and deke NHL vets.

Thought it was a veiled message torwards my other post (the meme before the gifs). My bad.
Oh. I was just trying to point out I like how Hutson shows respect for the game and his opponents by not showboating. He’s almost a throwback in that way. Quinn Hughes, a player Hutson is often compared with, is just like that. Humble.

Yeah, but there's also a sorta silent arrogance in having no qualms whatsoever in trying to bait and deke NHL vets. Humble on the outside, arrogant in the inside. Like, "hey, that's hard hitting Brady T, guess I'll try to shimmy shank him on the inside". Who the f*** does that in his 6th NHL game?
