The only good thing Whyzerman has done is draft his Future Defense in all the 5-7 Swedes he has lined up...missed on Wallstedt because shit for brains wanted Cossa who may never ever be a starter and then Stevie WHy drafts Augustine cause he knew he made a mistake and Trey may never be a 1st stinger either
Did Mike Ilitch pass away sorry I haven't been following this Franchise since Whyzerman took over other than their draft choices

Debrincat has been very good this season. One of like ~5 players that don't deserve much criticism.
People criticizing this move definitely haven’t watched the wings much this season.
The team needed a new voice. A local coach from a pewee tournament would have been an upgrade at this point. Lalonde was making some big head scratching roster moves, line deployments and forget about anyone being motivated come puck drop.
Todd has ties to Detroit which makes the hire an easier one. He’s taken some pretty bad teams into the playoffs before and finds a way to maximize whatever he has to deal with on his past rosters.
That’s exactly what this team needs. Roster definitely isn’t as bad as their current record shows. Hopefully he can turn this show around and get them to competing as they were last year.
And cudos to Steve for waiting until after Christmas to fire Lalonde. I kind of figured after the loss in Montreal that this would be the case.

Huh?? Cossa is better than wallstedt, there’s a chance neither could be a starter that’s why they are prospects. Augustine is one of the best goalie prospects in hockey, having 2 of the top 5 in hockey is a great thing to have. Not sure what point you are trying to make here

Have you seen Augustine play he's a shrimp...no way he becomes an NHL goaltender in the near Future perhaps in 5-6 years

Are you high? He’s one of the best goalie prospects in hockey. Has dominated the NCAA and international hockey. My guess is he is in GR next year and spends 2/at most 3 years in GR. 5-6 years you are off your rocker man
