If Vilardi stays healthy, and PLD continues his same level of play we've seen in Winnipeg. This trade could end up looking really bad for LA.

Iafallo is underrated. You can put him anywhere in the lineup and he can make up for linemate's defensive shortcomings. He was very good in the playoffs also.

I think trading Vilardi has more to do with his contract demands than it does for the caliber of player he's returning.

Its weird, the trade arguably makes LA easier to play against for a bit of an offensive boost but like...its weird.

Kings trying to make their version of the Eichel trade. Except Dubois isn't as good and unlike the Knights, the Kings don't have the over all depth to make such a trade.

Consider that Dubois didn't want to sign, the Jets just robbed the Kings with this trade. I am happy that Hughes didn't try to outbid the Kings.

He has never stayed healthy. Winnipeg's version of Monahan.

PLD has only missed 22 games in the last 6 seasons. 12 in 19/20, 9 last year and 1 in 21/22. He played every game in his other 3 seasons.

Jets still have Josh Morrissey (one of the top d-men last year) and elite forwards in Ehlers and Kyle Connor and a lot of good complementary pieces.

Yep, they certainly could have gone for a rebuild but are just turning over their aging core for new blood and a new culture.

Jets will not be as good but they do have some solid prospects that will soon be knocking on the door.

Iafallo and Vilardi were huge pains in the ass in the playoffs against Edmonton, while Dubois looks downright sleepy and disinterested half the time.

I can't believe the amount of folks saying that this is a bad trade for LA. They are loaded with center prospects but they don't have a for-sure Kopitar successor. Dubois, at his best, is exactly that.
