Kopitar might have his best game all year.
Lucic... I hope DL pulls off a miracle and gets him re-signed
Doughty solid
Toffoli and Pearson both had chances
Gaborik played well (except the one time he got beat from the wall to the slot which resulted in a goal)

McNabb was shaky again
Quick was up and down. Some great saves, but not the best game he's had

I liked what I saw of Nolan. Hustled tonight

Clifford... meh. Again. Tries to do too much, stays on the ice too long.

Brown played well today. Wasnt falling all over the place. Need to see more of this.

kessel -3
Malkin -3
Perron -3

I don't think it will ever happen, but with Malkin's recent comments regarding the lack of togetherness in Pittsburgh, I bet he would probably love to play for the Kings.

I'm really excited about Doughty getting his shots on net this season.

Some extra goals from The D(oughty) could really come in handy.

The way Malkin talk about Pitt, it seems he has wanted out of their for over a year now.

It would cost us about three banks and a whole lotta of goats and cattle and many many acres of land to get Malkin on this team. He is good though when he's not injured.

Disagree on Clifford, he was a beast on the forecheck.

I think he wants to be the player in town and of course he's not there.

I'm not too sure about this. Malkin's comments were more along the line of wanting everyone on the team pulling on the same rope.

A lot of guys on the Kings sacrifice individual stats for the team to have success, and it has been that way for years. I think Malkin sounds like he wants to be part of something like that.

I agree, but he would be the missing piece on a team like Nashville.

Penguins have Two of the best players in the world on their team but their D without Letang is brutal. This team is built with no chemistry whatsoever. The Kessel trade have been an absolute bomb.

Even with Letang the Penguins D has been brutal this year. I know +/- isn't the greatest stat in the world, but Letang is a -14 so far this year

Always going to have a below average sv%, the Kings don't allow enough shots for sv% padding. Quick is not going to shutout every game, the average NHL goalie allows around 2.0 GA a game.

If you look at games historically over Quicks career, when he faces over 22+ shots, Quick is above the league average .918-920 SV%

Is there an advanced stat that can scale a misleading stat like SV%?

That not really on the D. That is on the scoring. Our offense that isn't lights out is still a .2 G/G higher. They are top 10 in GA/G.

The Pens are definitely producing at a much lower clip than they normally do. Usually their offense is what carries them through the standings.

Crosby struggling all year, has really hurt Pitt in the production department.

Pascal Dupuis, has been down right terrible, he may need to retire.

If they were smart, they would have dealt for Weber+/- years ago. It's just about too late now.

Agree. At this point if Nashville came to me asking for Malkin, I would ask for Josi or Jones, Fisher, and a 1st.

With Rinne and Weber getting older, time is running out for Nashville to make a run at it. They are going to have to take a big gamble at some point if they want a legit shot at the cup.

I've read remarks from Penguins fans stating Fleury is the reason their GA is good, and their team defense is horrible. This game definitely supported that statement.

That collapsing overwhelm defense just doesn't work well against structured teams.
