Ziggy Stardust
Master Debater
This is about as dissatisfying a win can get. The Kings looked like ass in the 2nd and for parts of the 3rd. Just simply making mistakes that shouldn't be made at this level.
The Kings are playing terrible against the Pacific
Erhoff was fine up until that **** head Ribiero rattled his melon.
He was bad since game one. Lets not sugar coat it.
Positives tonight:
Shore looked better and played bigger minutes. Pearson was a beast, and Gabo looked like he had a pulse for once.
Stole two points from EDM
On to the next game.
The other scary part, Kopitar's ice time continues to decline. That is not good.
On a night Pearson/Gabo put up Five points, Kopi came up ZERO's.
He was shaky at first, but then I distinctly remember him playing well with McBain for our 7 game winning streak. It finally felt like we had a decent bottom D pair, and then Ribiero pretty much made sure he regressed into suckage. I'm not sugar coating anything.
By every metric, stat, adv stat ETC: (even eye test) the guy is easily the Kings Worst defender, and it's not even close.
The metrics even include his average play from about game four on. The guy has stunk since game one.
McNabb is pretty much tied with him for awfulness. What I'm trying to get across is that Erhoff seriously got his eggs scrambled when Ribiero boarded him and its had an effect on his game ever since. It looked like he was going to pull it together before that.
Absolutely not. McNabb HAS been messy the last two games but we can't ignore before that, he was fantastic. Gonna have to think 2013 Muzzin with him, take the good with the bad as he learns in big minutes. I also agree that Ehrhoff took a turn for the worse after the Ribeiro crap but he wasn't great before that either, only serviceable.

McNabb reminds me too much of Keaton Ellerby, can throw his weight around and that's about it.
Read every one of the 41 posts and can't believe the only positive comments are coming from moderators.
Oh wait. Yes, I can believe that.
Hey, I was at the game tonight. If anyone has a reason to *****, it was me, right? Blowing $265 every regular season game for two seats, and this is hockey?
I will say this: Pearson had three points tonight. Three points. I don't think anyone else but damacles mentioned that.
3 ****ing points. Someone give that guy some due credit, for Chrissake.
Good god, the hivemind is out in full force tonight. Didn't realize people had such a hard on for McNabb around here.
What's his contract?
How much experience does he have?
How many minutes/what line is he playing on?
Like, 3 big errors this season. Get the Lynch post...
Come on. You're comparing a young and growing NHL defenseman playing bigger, harder minutes with tons of positive metrics with an older defenseman who can barely handle #6 minutes and has all sorts of crap metrics. Even if one doesn't have a hardon for McNabb--I'd argue very few do--comparing him to Ehrhoff is just a slap in the face.
I just disagree with some that he hasn't looked good for a while. I think he's definitely struggled in the last couple of games, but he looked fantastic before that. I'm just too tired to dig up some real numbers as support. It just seems like everyone turned on him the moment he made that stupid ass pass to Hanzal (my god, this guy IS 2013 Muzzin!).
And as someone else mentioned, we don't have another option right now, as Muzzin/Martinez are glued there for the time being.
