This wraps up that all important 12 of 17 at home to start the season that was talked about when the schedule was released. I'd say 22 points, 3 clear of 2nd in the division, is a solid start.
 
I get so mad at lucic each game but then he either scores or sets someone up or screening the goalie.

Hoff does not deserve to be in over forbort at all. The guy is terrible at hockey.

Mcnabb needs to go back to playing simple. He's trying to do too much.

Kings stole another 2 points tonight. Hopefully going on the road will clean their game up.
 
Teams that play ugly, sloppy hockey have a knack of making us play ugly, sloppy hockey with them. It's like, the more disjointed/chaotic the team, the harder a game it will be.

If the playoffs were tomorrow
Kings with 22 points would host StLouis 23 points.
 
2 points they don't have to worry about later, but damn, that was bare minimum. A bunch of PP's that did nothing, bailed out by Shore.

They've given up at least 3 goals in every game at home to a Pacific team. The Canucks 3rd was an empty net, but that was also a game the Kings got shutout in.
 
One thing is for sure, the Kings are not going to beat anyone good in the playoffs with McNabb on the top pair.
 
Quick didn't exactly inspire any confidence tonight. They're lucky to be getting 2 points out of that effort.

This is a little extreme. He's had a rough couple of games but has been pretty solid most of use year.

Yep. First in the pacific means playing one of the good teams in the central.
 
The Kings are playing terrible against the Pacific, but two points is two points.

Really though that's two games worth of crappy play equity back from earlier games we should have won but lost. Will have to get our collective **** together for this road trip. But frankly I didn't care HOW we won this won, the two points were important before the Philly game and then the 4 games in 6 days or whatever it is on the road, that could be really ugly.

Everyone was pretty sloppy tonight but my god someone dump Ehrhoff into the ocean. Yay for experience, but he should be as close to this roster as Jeff Schultz. I was totally, totally wrong about Ehrhoff.

It worries me as well, cause the Pacific is a terrible division. That does not bode well down the stretch.

Sutter will keep playing him in the hope that he regains form. Still, I believe the kings will need Forbort to play a starting role for this team to make/advance in the playoffs. DL will also need to go after another D man in the market.
