I like how the linesman just watches the play.

That's all he can do. He is not allowed to call penalties, other than obvious ones like puck over the glass. The only other time he has input is when one of the referees confers with him.

Fantastic game really, especially gutsy after losing Kopi and after the Blues looked like they just wanted to cheap shot people all night. I'm all for physical play and some of our games with them are just great for that, but tonight, Reaves on Kopi, Upshall on Toffoli were indefensibly dirty, I'd have to see the Steen thing again but it looked like Brown on Pominville, and those are just the overt ones...they clearly had the message out to run Toffoli, when Allen made that fantastic save on Brown's pass to Toffoli Backes went to clean him out.

God damn near boarding on that hit with Toff... I dunno I am not one to homer it up on calls, and I am still fine with that Coulture hit... But that **** was questionable.

Eh, so Weal didn't do a whole lot with his opportunity tonight. He's so teeny, especially when up against the Blues. Not terribly effective on the wall. Didn't really show much of his hands nor his quickness, either. Kind skeptical he's going to get many games this year.

Yeah, probably needed a big body like Nolan in there tonight rather than Weal. Then again, if Nolan did something to piss off Sutter, that would explain a lot.

Expecting Nolan back in the lineup on Thursday against 'bus.

How high was that Upshall jump? 2 feet? If that's not head hunting I don't know what is.

3? years ago when the kings/ducks did the rookie games at honda center, then TSC I went to the Honda center one, and this kid Weal was skating around ****ING EVERYBODY. It was sick.
Watched him a bit in the AHL... Good there too... Though at times trying to do too much and not succeeding.
Been waiting for it.

He did some stuff preseason... Though against other preseason players. Even then he didn't stand out QUITE as much as hoped.
His first game I barely notice him... Though he was benched pretty quick.
Again tonight... Nothing stand out :(

I wanna say he is not given the right opportunity. The right players to compliment him... But I am not willing to really argue that.

I hope he gets more of a chance, and is able to show off a bit... I feel like he should be able to... But for now its unfortunate that he has only had a couple short opportunities, and not been able to shine on them. Unsure what to expect with him going forward.

The more I see these highlights use more pissed I'm getting. Blues should have 3 guys suspended from tonight. What a crappy organization that's built full of losers

Made a gif out of it.

Def. a butt end, you can tell from Reave's right hand. Such a chicken **** ***** play by Reave's on Kopitar.

McBain flies in to beat down the Blues.

Lewis scores again!!!! Carter giving Lewis the facewash after.

Blues are a joke. Seriously shut out by a backup goalie and an Ehrhoff/McBain 3rd pairing? Really?

Jake Allen is pretty upset after the loss. Why the long face?

Oh, wait...

Jamie McBain is still undefeated this season.

Also, given the extreme concussion precautions given to Ehrhoff and Kopitar this week (i.e., not coming back for the whole game), I have to wonder if the Kings have instituted a much stricter policy regarding head injuries since Mike Richards' career nose-dived (presumably because of head trauma).

I'm fine if they're extra cautious on concussions.

Good point. I'm sure they addressed and overhauled everything after the season the Kings had last year and subsequent offseason.

They can call major/match penalties as well... I hope they didn't forget that part...
