I bet Nolan gets a fine for pushing the ref, but Hedman's flying elbow to Clifford's head that put him on the injury list is not even worth a phone call. SMH

Yeah, not a single peep about that hit, I mean nothing at all, not even by any NHL media. Usually when an elbow is thrown and a player gets hurt someone brings it up. Then Nolan pushes a ref and it's front and center on the NBC Sports website 5 minutes after.

The Kings are killing everything and the ducks are ******** in each others mouths. Its nice right?

@Rich_Hammond Anze Kopitar played 25:05 tonight, more than any Pittsburgh player (forward or defenseman). Then there's Drew Doughty, who played 30:21.

They're gonna be tired.

Nah
A red bull and Diet Coke and they will be fine

Kopi looked gassed even after he scored in the shootout.

Good to see Drew got some time off tonight

:sarcasm:

How am I just seeing that Clifford hit now??? What a ****ing dirty play. Unbelievable how he doesn't even get a call.

My top 2 teams that I hate and have been for a long time, Vancouver and ****sburgh. Malkin is a punk and should've been fed his teeth years ago with that cheap shot he nailed Simmonds with.

I'll always remember the shopping cart on the ice after that game and how the Kings did absolutely NOTHING.

Given the gutsy win tonight, I'm not anticipating their best performance tomorrow in Buffalo, where the Kings have traditionally struggled.

I'm just glad they beat those stupid Pigeons tonight, any point earned tomorrow is a bonus. Hoping that Enroth has a stellar performance against his former team, and there are a couple of other former Sabres with Ehrhoff, McNabb and McBain who may have something to prove tomorrow.

It's Victor Hedman against Kyle Clifford. Not that I think it's fair, but I don't think there would be a hearing for Drew Doughty if he hit Drew Miller with the same hit.

Not really right, but that is the way it goes.

Because our fanbase doesn't use the main boards as a diary...even when it's a play that's legitimately dirty we don't cry about it on there. Yet there is that joke of a thread about Carter and Nolan on the main board 6 pages deep. This is why I love our fans.

Mersch fit right in, reminds me of how well King/Nolan fit when they came up in 2012. He certainly had no fear of getting to the front of the net tonight. He did look a little confused on where to go at times, but if he's here long enough to get acclimated, he's a potential handful for other defenses.

Every time I see one of those threads, it just reminds me that the Kings must be doing well again. For some reason fans don't mind getting beat by Chicago because of their free-wheeling style. They hate getting beat by the Kings because they grind teams into a pulp.

They wish every bit of bad luck, suspensions, etc. on the Kings, because they know their teams have slim/none of a chance against them in a series. There's a reason the only fans who are civil in those threads are Chicago fans, mostly out of mutual expect. Well, and Sharks fans, but we just like each other and love to dance.

I have been waiting for Weal. I mean, I went to the anaheim - kings rookie game maybe 3 years ago and it was awesome to see Weal skate around everyone. He put on a show. It sucked when we missed the playoffs and he was called up for the last game, only to be scratched by Sutter. I have been waiting to see him get his chance... And TBH he hasn't really been able to use it.

Mersch should have started the season over Weal. He was better preseason, and he fits in better. He does a better job as a 3rd/4th liner of simply getting to the net and making things happen by forcing his way into dangerous areas.

I don't know, I saw some pretty smug Kings posts there tonight. If I wasn't a Kings fan, I might dislike the Kings' fanbase, too. At least what I see on the main board.

**** the Pens.

Kunitz, Malkin, and Perron are such *****es, starting **** all game and hiding behind the refs.
