The Carter slash was cheap but Malkin selling it was pretty weak. He obviously wasn't hurt since he popped right up. My guess is something occurred before that and that's why Carter did that. I don't have any proof but I doubt he just decided to give him a wack when they were already short handed.

The main board poster had an ulterior motive from the first post. You could see it in his posts, and then he solidified it by unnecessarily posting the highlight of Malkin scoring. I'm sure he just can't let go of his hate for former Flyer Jeff Carter.

I've seen those "slashes" happen often throughout the season. Usually the other player looks back and just plays on. Reading the Penguins blog I thought Carter took Malkin's head off. Lol @ Penguins fans.

I saw that as well and went looking and couldn't find it when I wanted it. But I think it came from elias sports according to the tweet I saw.
