The boys need to make a ritual of boarding Kopi pre-game. There's a Jeykll/Hyde story here that's just waiting to unfold.
The main board is insane!
The PGT title should be: LAK 3 - EDM 2 - NHL/Refs 1![]()
Honestly, why can't the league put a transmitter in game pucks to determine if pucks go in like that? Seems like the Oilers got jobbed. In tennis they have the technology to track a 100 mph tennis ball to see if it grazes a line. In hockey they have cameras 100 feet away.
Oh well, good game anyway.

"No dude, I took a screen cap of the play and blew it up 100x's, it's definately a goal"
Its not really that easy. What kind of "transmitter" would you prefer, and where would you locate it to not change the way a puck handles but get a fair read on the pucks angle, exactly position, ect..?
If you can't answer, you have little room to criticize.

Pretty much. The entire surface area of the puck would have to be a transmitter. Varying puck angles would make it very difficult for a single chip in the center of the puck to definitely transmit that the entire puck was over the line. Tennis balls and soccer balls... are balls... which are spheres. Pucks are not spheres.
Bring back the glow puck!

Exactly why it's so stupid to whine and cry about officiating in the GDT's.
We got a break, just like we got a break with the clock thing. We also got screwed with the netting, we got screwed a few years back when Smyth re-directed a shot in to tie the game late in Ottawa and it was disallowed.
The point is, it all evens out over the course of a year. Now please, posters here, take a look at how foolish people look on the mainboard the next time you want to whine about "biased" officiating
Yo, were the main boards this mad when the Wings scored that goal on us off the net and it still counted and we lost? I'm going say no. Hope the Oil miss the playoffs by 1 point.
I always remember Clowe's play from the bench and how everyone else just laughed it off. I guess it only wasn't funny to Kings fans.
well, aside from the tears, that's 5 straight for the boys and back in first place and 7 points ahead of the Ducks after only 8 games. Good times.
