The hate is straight up insane at this point. I can't even wrap my head around it. We have gotten **** calls and lost games on them before and there was never a massive thread about it.
 
I honestly thought they were gonna call that a goal. Totally makes up for that ****** board on Kopi though...
 
It was the right call.

There's no way to determine if the puck fully crossed the line. From the officials perspective, you can't call it a goal because it "probably" crossed the line. That's not enough.
 
In the grand scheme of things close calls will even out.
The call on the ice could have gone either way. In fact it kind of did.
If they had called good goal Toronto wouldn't have been able to overturn it into the Kings favor.
Take the two points and keep our mouths shut.
 
Dumb to even put themselves in the position to be scored on with just a couple of seconds left while having possession of the puck. Toffoli shouldn't have shot at the empty net and Lucic should have lifted it out immediately. Oh well, feels stupid to complain about it when they won.

Kopitar looked a bit better, more assertive, that's good. With Gaborik on the third line we have three lines that in theory can be an offensive threat. Liking the power play a whole lot better as well now that they have some guys go in front of the net. Good goaltendning and fourth line had a pretty good game when they weren't being abused by the Oilers top line. Still want more from Doughty, he can be better.

Anyway, I'll take the two points any way I can get them. Winnipeg up next!

Same, I've been disappointed with his play so far. I know he can be one of the most dominant Dmen in the league, but he hasn't shown any of that this year.
 
Jesus, posting on the main board and I can feel the knowledge centers of my brain smooth over like an eggshell as I do it.

Gotta stay away from that brain drain.
 
There was a teachable moment here for McDavid. Don't assume you have an NHL goalie beat. Roof that shot!
 
Thought gaborik looked fast out there on the 3rd line and had his best game in terms of skating and getting involved.. probably harkening back to his linemate scrub days when he had to do all the heavy lifting himself in bad years in minny, columbus, and nyr.

Kudos to Pearson for making use of his "promotion".. he looked great out there.
